Very very high speed. I bought this to replace my vonshef blender since the cups were compatible. Now I have extra cups and jugs, highly recommend this as a replacement for the particular vonshef that’s no longer in the market. Anywho, this blender has power!! Almost like the industrial use ones. The speed is very high, didn’t even try the higher speed. You need to only fill to a maximum of half the blending container otherwise it will blown out or spill. You need to close the blade section tight like iron man otherwise the speed and power will unseal it and spill your contents all over the place. I haven’t had any burning smell but I believe even 60 seconds of running it at this power will cause some components to break. I’ve been running it in pulses or 20 second intervals at most. Just used it for the first time this thanksgiving. I’m anticipating to use it heavily for the holidays hopefully I’ll have an update in January. EDIT: It’s March and the blender’s still going strong. Still very powerful and the blades are still sharp. Sometimes I forget to tighten the blade section and the flour spills all over my face. Annoying but I can live with that. ... show more

Bought this about a week or so ago. I had used this on 3 separate occassions over the week to make a smoothie. On my 3rd time making a smoothie, it started to smell of a strong burnt plastic. I contacted the seller and they told me to give it breaks between making smoothies. I didn't understand what that meant because I explicitly told them that I made 3 smoothies on separate days. Not back to back. Anyways, that was the last communication they sent me. I responded but they didn't respond back. I tried making another smoothie again on a different day, and same results. I had to get Amazon involved to issue a return for refund. I had Ninja blenders that never had this issue. I should've took the response of another review regarding this smell more seriously. Best advice is to avoid and look elsewhere. Not worth it especially with how little communication the seller provides too. ... show more

Useable, cleanable, not the most durable. I smelled something burning after using it for several minutes of grinding dog food up. Heavy use. I turned it off, but now the first speed setting doesn't work. The second one still does, so it's still usable for me.

When juicing you have to take breaks with the machine, it gets hot and it is mandatory to turn it off. If not, you will damage it. I use it for juicing watermelon.
