I bought this weather station for my boys to try out as their first weather station. They've enjoyed the display, the forecast functions, and the history functions. Overall it has been very solid so far. I had to watch the Amazon videos to figure out the initial setup process but it was pretty straightforward. Viewing angles are pretty good overall. This is an awesome weather station. The screen is vivid with multiple colors and it's very easy to read, even from far away. It even has visual images for weather forecast and moon phase, which is very pretty. The station itself comes with a power adapter so you don't have to worry about it running out of power. However, it does use batteries for backup in case of power outage. The outdoor sensor is small enough to be discreet, and seems to report pretty accurate temperature information. This weather display shows all the measurements you could ever need to see and more! When setting the device up, make sure to check the manual in case you get stuck -- it walks through the whole setup process well. It needs 5 AAA batteries, so ensure you have those on hand. The media could not be loaded. I got this product because I was tired of having to pull out my phone to look at the weather. I wanted something like a clock to view my weather. Also, I also noticed that sometimes the weather app on my phone wasn’t too accurate as my specific location in the city tends to have slightly different weather than other areas nearby. Based on my testing, the wireless sensor does a great job sending accurate data to the display and the temperature readings are accurate when I compare to the thermostat and a laser thermometer. Most importantly, I like how there is a dual temperature display, which allows me to see the temperature of my house without having leave the comfort of the couch to go to the thermostat 😂. The only thing I wish that could be changed is that the device requires 5 AAA batteries (3 for the display and 2 for the wireless sensor). It would be less wasteful to perhaps have a solar panel with built in rechargeable battery in the wireless sensor. I would be willing to pay extra for that addition. Also, in peak daylight I feel that display is not super legible due to the glossy display finish. If it was a matte finish and perhaps a little brighter, this issue could be improved to some extent. The display is outstanding, bright, easy to read, colorful, and eye catching. I installed it on the wall by our exit door. I'm pleased with the end product and installation but there were a few things that started me off as being pessimistic. In the end, I worked through these and my rating and opinion improved. The display really helps make this product as does its general accuracy and having the ability to make slight adjustments to the readings since I did have some equipment to help calibrate. When calibrating I usually didn't have to adjust the settings by more than a few degrees. I actually though there was something wrong with the adapter cable as it looked different from what was in the manual and didn't insert into the unit directly but instead took a right angle turn which push looked like it would push the unit away from the wall if mounting there. The photos give an example of this. I requested a return and replacement with the same product and saw the adapter was the same on both. Just know the adapter looks different from the manual and comes out at a right angle that raises the back slightly. In practice this is not noticeable and seems to sit flat on the wall. From there the next step is to install the receiver. According to the manual, the receiver has a led to tell if it is on. Problem is the LED is under a non-see-through plastic cover so you can't tell if it's on. You need to first install and power up the control panel and look at that to tell. Another quirk is that you need to first connect the control panel with the power cord before putting batteries in to avoid a blank screen. Speaking of batteries you need five AAAs, two in the sensor and three in the control panel. Buy them in advance as they are not included. The lid on the sensor is pretty tight. You are supposed to be able to slide the cover in the direction of the arrow to insert the batteries. This was tough. I needed a small jewelers screwdriver to get enough force and leverage to move the cover so that I could install the batteries. A template for mounting on the wall isn't included so you might want to make one so that you'll have accurate screw placements. Just turn the control over, take a paper and position dots for drilling where you'll install the screws. Check your template when on the wall to ensure the screws are going to be level. The screws and wall mounting hardware is not included. I thought I knew what an atomic clock was but maybe not. This unit's information sheet says that this has one. I've had atomic clocks before, and they set the time themselves and adjust. So, if this has an atomic clock, why am I having to set the time? ... show more

When setting up make sure to read and understand the directions, particularly for which mode you are in. Once I understood the instructions the set up was simple.
