  • No problems whatsoever
I am a hobbyist woodworker and use better than DIY but less than trade standard power tools, Ryobi tools generally fall into that category. This tool is extremely expensive in the UK so I took a punt and purchased it from Amazon USA, the whole process was extraordinarily quick and easy and I saved few quid too! The nailer itself is a little weighty but highly portable and relatively easy to manipulate with no pressure line or cords getting in the way, it takes a little practice to get used to the settings in different materials but the knack comes quickly. There's a fair old kick when fired,my dog runs off when it's in use. I haven't experienced one jam yet even when I set it on rapid fire, it may be that I've been lucky or the quality of the nails I am using helps. The quick release for clearing jams is a little stiff and I operated it a few times, fettled it a fair bit and now it's a little less fierce. Being at the value end of the market this product is well made, easy and simple to use and I recommend it for all the DIYers or hobby woodworkers thicnking of buying one. ... show more

  • Easy to use, Works well
I bought this finish nailer because I didn't want to have to deal with a compressor and the hoses, etc. Several people told me a battery powered nail gun wouldn't work well, but I decided to try it. They were wrong, it works great. It's lightweight and easy to use. I'm a 60 yo woman and have had no problems with it. I've nailed up wainscoting, window trim, and built a wooden trellis with it so far. No problem with nail jams or any other issues. Wish I'd bought it sooner. ... show more

  • Works Great, better than expected.
I live in the UK and could not buy this nailer at Amazon uk, they had the 18g nailer but from what I read in the reviews it is far better to buy the '16g'. (fires bigger nails) This has really worked out well.. I did try to buy this online in the UK, everywhere including all of the DIY places but no luck, this was the only place to buy it.. I took it for granted that I would need to buy one of the 'BIG' new style batteries but I would wait till the gun had been delivered, (I had, about 2 weeks earlier bought a new Ryobi drill that came with 2 x 1.5 batteries) I am so glad I waited as this nailer works just great on my small 1.5 battery. (have just used 3 strips of nails, first was 38mm and the rest 65mm) I am not using it all day every day I am just a general use type, for home project's, it is real handy as it free's up a hand, this fires in the nails from the smallest size right up to 2.5 inch nails, I have all the settings of the gun set to half way and it fires the nails in below the surface, I have used it on soft wood and Mahogany which is a bit harder, not used it on Oak yet but am pretty sure from what I have seen it will be no problem. I would say you could not go wrong if you bought this nailer, you do not need to have a compressor or gas canister,s just use the 'one battery'. ... show more

  • Works great
The Ryobi R18GN18-0 Nailmaker 18V ONE+ is a must-have tool for anyone who loves DIY projects or works in construction. Its cordless design and compatibility with the Ryobi ONE+ battery system make it convenient and easy to use. I found the Nailmaker to be lightweight and easy to handle, even when using it for extended periods of time. The depth adjustment feature allowed me to easily control the depth of the nails, ensuring a professional finish every time. One thing to note is that this tool does not come with a battery, so you will need to purchase one separately if you don't already own a Ryobi ONE+ battery. However, the versatility and durability of this nail maker make it well worth the investment. Overall, I highly recommend the Ryobi R18GN18-0 Nailmaker 18V ONE+ to anyone in need of a reliable and efficient nail gun for their projects. It's a game-changer ... show more

  • used to install flooring in attic, reinforce fence gate, etc.
You need one of these. It won't do framing nails, you have to use compressed air for that. But it will do very long finishing nails, even 16 gauge. I got tired of hammering and used it to install 1/4's in my attic for utility flooring. Bang bang bang, a board is done. No cord. Buy a lot of nails. : ) I also used it to reinforce a fence gate that was coming apart. Try this with a hammer and it just bounces and the nail does not penetrate. But this thing - bang! Nail goes right in. Bang, bang, bang! Plenty of nails, it's fixed solid. In a pinch, you can nail two 2x4's, but it won't carry any load. The max nail size only extends 3/4 inch into the second one, and is too weak to resist lateral loads. But it'll tack something up. Then you can really nail it. ... show more

  • Great Tool!
I brought this into my One+ arsenal. I’m doing the whole house’s baseboards. I was using my pneumatic finish nailer, but was tired of dragging the compressor and hose around. This is a great alternative. It has 100% counter sunk every nail I’ve driven, where as my pneumatic occasionally did not, requiring me to counter sink the nail by hand. I’ve been using it one month. Have shot maybe 100-200 nails without a hitch. ... show more

  • Weak. Not as good as I was led to believe it would be.
Sat in box untouched for over a year due to health. Finally got a chance to use it on trim work and baseboards. Worked with it for several hours to get it to drive a nail or staple flush. Never did get it to work as I needed it to. Couldn't get it to drive it even close to half the length of the nail. Pretty disappointed with the $189.00 tool. To late to return it now. ... show more
