Leaves hair soft, but I have to use a lot more than than the comments say. It’s pretty thin and I’m used to straighten creams being thick. It’s not easy to get the bottom layer straight.

okay so i originally got this from a friend as a gift but i ran out so i purchased it on amazon and its the BEST. it smells amazing, prevents puffy hair (even in 94 degree humid summer weather), and its just so easy and yet doesn't make your hair hard or stick together like moose or hairspray. how i apply it is by washing my hair without conditioner (makes my hair fall out), then applying it to wet-damp (more on the wet side) hair. i put it in a twisted hairstyle overnight then curl my hair with my fingers in the morning and the curls always stay, as if ive curled my hair. this cream is completely non toxic to my hair and didnt harm it in any way. Great product ! I use this to straighten my hair. I have natural curly hair and usually wear it curly. From time to time I use my flat iron to straighten it and use this product in combination with the Rusk thermal Serum to help with the process. The combination helps my natural curly hair get very straight and remain straight even in the harshest humidity ( I live in Houston). I used to chemically relax my hair but have not done so in almost 2 years and have not seen much difference now that I have found the right products and flat iron to straighten my hair. My end results are smooth bouncy and silky hair. I am not too crazy about the scent of this product, but once you apply it and it dries you cannot really smell it anymore. Been using this product for years with consistently great results. I have oily scalp but dry hair. This stuff adds moisture to my hair without adding to the oily scalp problem. Hair is smooth and controllable. I try other things from time to time but I come back to Rusk every time.
