I have not had any issues with this camera. I absolutely love it. I am currently using it to play airsoft and this camera integrates perfectly with my rails. Now I do see a lot of reviews about the mounting plate cracking because it is plastic. I personally feel it is due to over a excessive amount of force applied to the screw. I did a half turn past the point of resistance and I have a great firm connection to my rails. All In all a great camera for the price it does what I wanted it to do and having removable batteries as a feature is awesome! ... show more

PLEASE READ IF YOU BOUGHT THIS. Over all it is a good product when it wants to work. Camera is made of plastic firstly. but i ran into this problem where it just would stop recording randomly. After weeks of having trouble with this camera in my airsoft games i contacted RunCam about this problem. turns out this model has a design flaw where the battery doesn't sit right. so any sudden movement will turn off the camera and corrupt your footage. RunCam says to put a piece of paper inside the battery slot to hold it in. In my opinion i think its worth it just to spend the $10 extra on the scope cam 2. Its made of metal, is water proof, and doesn't have a battery slot. Hopefully this works better for me in my games. ... show more

This is the third run cam I've bought that broke the first day I used it. This time it broke before I even turned it on. The fact that run cam thought they could use 25 cent machine plastic to use as a rail mount is beyond me. These reviews you see giving it 5 stars are bought. It's a shame nobody has made a good scope cam. Please run cam if you are listening make a decent one out of metal like the older model.     • Works as expected
This produces expected video clips. Nothing fancy, just the zoomed experience you want. Use it for airsoft. I found 1080 at 120fps gives the best action. RunCam, seriously though, listen to your customers and ditch the plastic mount. People are hard on their attachments.

Camera works great. Very high quality videos. Taking 250+ foot shots and can see the airsoft BBs bouncing off my targets. Wish it was an aluminum housing. Plastic feels a little cheap. But overall very satisfied.

    • Too much trouble to set up
Too much trouble to set up, not worth the weight, shuts itself down mid game... And it isn't waterproof so it adds stress... Also it feels like its gonna break if I sneeze at it.
