Features

  • EASY TO SET UP, EASY TO LEARN: Fire Tower takes seconds to set up and minutes to learn. The game is highly accessible because of its intuitive rules and visual instructions that show how each card works.
  • UNIQUE THEME AND GAMEPLAY: Fire Tower brings players into a unique world of competitive firefighting. Use real firefighting techniques to defend your tower from the growing flames and take control of nature to send the fire towards your opponents to claim victory. Each turn, you must spread the fire in the direction of the wind and then play one of your action cards. Extinguish the blaze with fire engines, dispatch smoke jumpers, and build firebreaks. Harness the destructive force of nature to spread the flames away from your tower and towards your opponents.
  • STRATEGIC AND FAST-PACED with HIGH REPLAYABILITY: Fire Tower takes 15-30 minutes to play. Every turn is a tense decision, as players must adjust to changing conditions in the forest and the plans of their opponents. Downtime is minimal, and players stay in the game even after their towers are destroyed, continuing to play as the vengeful Shadow of the Wood with special powers and a new path to victory. Try playing free-for-all or battle in teams of two to change up the strategy of the game.
  • VIBRANT ARTWORK AND COMPONENTS: The game features original watercolors by fine artist Kevin Ruelle. The vivid colors perfectly match the beautiful, unique components and create a highly tactile experience that fully immerses players in the theme of the game. The games deluxe components include 135 glimmering fire gems, a printed cloth bag, custom meeples, an engraved wind die, and more.
  • THE PERFECT GIFT: This game is a great gift for gamers, teens, adults and kids. Its easy to introduce to new players, but has enough strategic depth to engage gamers as well, making it the perfect fit for family game night, Thanksgiving, or your next weekly get-together.

  • Fun game!
Me and my family have a lot of fun playing this game, it's easy to learn. My bf is a wildland firefighter and he says the game is actually accurate to how a wildfire acts wich is pretty cool.

  • Quality Board Game
Play this with my kids every weekend. Simple enough for my 7 year old to learn and still challenging enough to let them dip their toes into strategy. 10/10 would buy again

  • I love this game
This game was one the best I've buyed What I like the most is the design of the fires I am saving to buy the expansion

  • Interesting strategy game with a unique premise!
So first of all, before I nitpick, let me say how happy I am that game designers went to all of the effort to design and test a game, and then produce and sell them. It can't be an easy process, and I think the result here was really good. It's nice to have other options besides "Monopoly", which hasn't changed much in a century. Picking a game theme must be a minefield these days (someone should make a game about that). But Fire Tower has an elegant and sort of passive-aggressive solution that I kind of admire: fire is a primordial force that no one can truly "control"...but you CAN draw or play a chance card, so that the fire burns down your opponent and it's just...a force of nature! Whoops! I do think the game mechanics improve with more players (seems to be more chances to shift the wind direction in a meaningful way, or at least keeps the pace up). On the plus side, among many other positive attributes, during testing even a bright 7 year old could become a devious strategist. So the game is balanced, and interesting enough without being overwhelmingly complex. So, on to the nitpicks: I don't think that wooden purple dots are a very great representations of a fire break. I know that cost has to be limited somewhere, and a firebreak isn't so much a "thing" as an "absence of things", but this should be shown some other way. When you are trying to entertain people with a board game with this kind of niche theme...you need every edge you can find. I think 3D printed pieces would be really cool, and it would be fun to represent different kinds of defenses with different meeples. So for example, fire bombers, smoke jumpers, dozers, and, I dunno, some "rainstorms" from mother nature, that had slightly different defense patterns or attributes? (A rainstorm defense player being able to defend within their own fire tower area would be pretty clutch). And what if it was tied to the color of your fire watch tower or decided by dice roll? It seems that there are enough opportunities to swap hands of cards, that this could work. I haven't purchased the expansion yet, but it seems that the problem of spreading the fire around in more creative ways could be solved with rule changes instead of an expansion. As it sits, players all have the same defensive options as any other player (no unique abilities). This may have also been addressed in the expansion, but I am still discovering the base game mechanics.. Anyway, great effort! Please apply this kind of creative thinking to other types of subjects (even if the underlying game is similar), and I hope it will perform and sell just as well! ... show more

  • Lots of fun
We've played twice now. Both were lots of fun, easy to understand, easy to play. There are add in cards, they are well thought out and an excellent add to the game. We had fun playing with shadow of the wood as it keeps the eliminated players involved.

  • I love this game but my students love it more.
The base game is great with quality components. I've played it more than 30 times and I still dont feel the need to bust out the expansion. Clear rules and each card is indicative to its purpose. Great game and we'll balanced for 2 or 4 players. 3 can get frustrating when 1 player is basically fighting for their survival. ... show more
