EDIT : The motor quit working in the middle of the day when no one was home i bought the warranty so hopefully I’ll get my money back or a credit Had it for a few months now and I don’t hate it it does its job but we had to build a stand for it so we could let it continuously drain and that defeats the purpose of the casters. We would drain it before bed (11 p.m) and by the time we woke up (5 a.m) it would be flashing full and be shut of but in Florida in the middle of summer with pets we couldn’t have that. 50/50 if we got another one. I bought one of these units since my AC fan coils keeps breaking down. It works well but yes it is fairly loud but no more louder than any in the window air conditioner set on high. You will need to however do some handiwork to fit the duck work onto your window. I ended up using some box cutters & duck tape to cut down the plastic that fit into the window. Neither the heat, nor the A/C work. On the heat mode, air is just warm, and on A/C air is just barely cool. I bought this to heat/cool an insulated 6x12 trailer, and it's worthless! I bought it several months before actually installing it, and so of course now I'm past the return window. So now I'm just out the $300 I paid for it!
