I think that this is a nice balaclava that does a great job of covering up the right places as the cold weather sets in. My only issue with it is that it is so very lightweight and fleece-y that it may not do a great job or repelling any chill in the air and won't be too effective if there is any wind. But, as long as you're up for that, then this is a great item to throw in your outdoor gear closet or bag. It washes well and folds up neatly so it won't take up any space, so it's great to have around for chilly days. I thought that it fit well and didn't bunch or pull in any weird places. I purchased this product to wear underneath other protected outerwear when doing snow removal. It’s soft, stretchy, and light weight. It doesn’t offer me much facial protection on cold snow blowing windy days. I wished I'd had this fleece ski-mask last winter! But I will be prepared this year. Warm, cozy material with a good fit works well. I used it two weeks ago when temps here in Michigan dipped. The material seems sturdy, but only time will tell how well it holds up with each wash. I wear glasses and find I can wear my glasses over this mask if I choose to. When winds kick up, I can also easily place another hat over the mask for extra warmth. Does what it should! ... show more

While I haven't yet had the chance to wear this ski mask out on the frozen tundra yet, I think it is going to work quite nicely. I really like the color and the versatility of being able to wear it as a standalone mask, but then it is lightweight enough to fit under my ski helmet without making me feel like I am choking to death. The big thing for me is that I have to wear glasses (blind without them). The fit over my nose feels snug enough that I don't think my glasses will steam up too much but that remains to be seen. I think the only complaint I have is that it does feel a little big around the sides and I think I will need to wear a hood in addition to the mask when I am not wearing my helmet in order to keep my ears warm. ... show more

I really like the Rooyvany Fleece Balaclava Ski Mask for Men and Women. This is a very compact soft lightweight fleece balaclava mask. I plan on using it for my daily walks underneath my sunhat when the morning temperatures start dropping. It is thin enough that I can wear it as a neck gaiter and if it gets chilly, pull up the hood. The fleece is very soft and comfortable, but is only on the outside of the balaclava. Inside is the unfinished/backside of the outer fleece (see picture 3). This balaclava has a lot of stretch and should fit most heads. The listing states the content is 94% Polyester & 6% Spandex. There is not a label on the balaclava indicating fabric content or care instructions. I plan on machine washing. Because it is very lightweight, I do not anticipate that it will block wind on frigid days, but will fit underneath helmets and hats, and be easy to keep in your pocket in case the weather changes unexpectedly. ... show more

I really like this face covering. I got it because I'm frequently outside in cold weather and needed something to keep my face from feeling frostbitten. It's very soft and stays in place while I'm outside, so my face stays warm. It's nice not feeling like moisture is being trapped while I'm breathing either. I do have to wear my hair down or in a braid when I have this on because a bun or ponytail will not allow it to stay in place. But that's an easy thing to do especially when it means I won't be completely miserable outside in the cold. ... show more
