Used the rack and cargo bag on a trip to the mountains in our new Pathfinder. Bag is well made a kept the rain out. Rack is the right size for our vehicle, easy to assemble/mount and didn't block the sunroof. Two things of concern for the rack: U-bolts mount from underneath with threads pointing upward which may end up wearing holes into bag. The other concern is the quality of metal which started rusting after traveling in the rain. Rust/water ended up dripping along roof of vehicle. Threads of U bolts already showing light corrosion.     • Heavy duty and built to last. Easy assembly and installation.
The Fivklemnz roof rack is a heavy duty auto-top roof storage device that adds extra space when a car’s interior cargo area is too limited to hold all the items you need to transport. I got it to make more room in my car when I go on camping trips in the PNW. Assembly and Installation: The Fivklemnz is a sturdy and durable piece of equipment that gives the impression it will last a long time. The 51" X 36" X 5” carrier is made of tough tubular steel and has a black paint coating to protect against rust and the elements. The roof rack was easy to assemble and install, probably taking less than two hours from start to finish. Although the instructions are sparse, assembly and installation was mostly intuitive. Other than a Phillips screwdriver, no tools were necessary for assembly, but I used the light tap of a hammer to ensure the pieces were all snug and secure. Although I had to move one of my car’s factory installed crossbars a couple of inches during installation, the roof rack attached to both the front and rear crossbars quite firmly. Accessories: The Fivklemnz comes with all the accessories you might need while using it. The steel carrier comes with a 46”L X 34”W X 17”H waterproof rooftop, cargo carrier bag that appears as if it will withstand all that nature might throw at it while traveling down the road at highway speeds. The zipper of the cargo carrier bag runs smoothly, is protected with a waterproof flap, and is also heavy duty. There is a combination, luggage-style lock that can secure the zipper tabs closed as an anti-theft measure. In addition to the cargo carrier bag, the roof rack comes with a bungee net that can secure items when protection from the elements is not as important. If that weren’t enough, the carrier also comes with two ratcheting hold-down straps that can secure items being transported in the roof rack. Although I haven’t used it, there is an attachment that fastens to the door latch that allows the user to step up to roof level when interacting with the roof rack and any cargo that may be contained within it. Like the roof rack itself, all the accessories are well built and are of heavy duty construction and materials. Summary: I am quite pleased with the Fivklemnz roof rack. Installation was straight forward, it is made with quality, heavy duty construction, and I like that it firmly secured to my factory installed cross bars. This is not an item I want to take down after each use/trip, so I plan on leaving it in-place on top of my car at least through the summer and fall. And, I really look forward to having more room inside my car when I go camping this summer when the weather is a little drier and warmer. ... show more

    • Good roof rack basket and cargo bag
This roof rack basket arrived well packed and there were no missing pieces or damages. The metal basket is well made and has a good coating on it that is pretty tough. The basket was easy to put together; assemble the middle section and put the tubing as described in the instructions before sliding the front and rear basket sections together. Lastly install the screws to hold the pieces together and slide the tubing over the screws to have a clean finished basket. Attaching the basket to the roof rack rails is pretty easy, just make sure to adjust the roof rack rails so the basket is supported evenly and then the u-bolts and basket brackets is easily fastened by hand. The cargo bag is well made and the zipper operates nice and smoothly, the flap over the zipper has Velcro fasteners so that the zipper is protected and it keeps water from getting into the cargo bag. There are straps on the cargo bag to strap it to the roof basket. The straps are durable and hold firm once you tighten everything up. If you don’t feel like using the cargo bag; you can use the cargo net and ratcheting straps. I also like that there was a non slip pad that came with this basket kit. The non slip pad made sure that slipping and sliding was reduced or eliminated. This basket kit gives you a lot of options to how you can carry your goodies while you travel. You get A LOT for your money with this Heavy Duty Rooftop Cargo Carrier by Fivklemnz. The basket comes in 3 sections and once assembled it feels heavy, strong, and very sturdy. The included accessories are well thought out. If you consider the cost of purchasing each of these components separately this entire package is worth the money spent. I drive a small Chevy SUV. The cargo basket rests perfectly on the roof. I was worried it would be too large but it seems to work just fine. it would work very well on medium and large vehicles as well. My TIPS for INSTALLATION (refer to last 3 pictures) 1-Tap the small silver screws with a mallet or hammer before attempting to screw in. DO NOT use a power drill. Use a hand screw driver. The screws fit very snug and you can easily strip them out if you rush! SLOWLY turn the screws until they are tight. 2-Place a towel on the roof of your car when installing the Cargo Basket Brackets. The brackets can be a little clumsy as you attempt to hold them and screw on the nuts onto the bracket. The towel will keep the brackets from scratching the paint if you drop them. ALSO...Turn each nut EVENLY as you tighten down the bracket. This ensures the bracket is even and snug from front to back. The Cargo rack will take you less than 30 minutes to assemble and then about 30 minutes to install on your roof. The package includes a handy foot step to help you get up and closer to your work!
