There are two ways to power these fun boat or RV decorator lights, directly wired to 12 volt battery or plug into a cigarette lighter. The specs say that they will work on 5-24 volts. Remote is not exactly self-explanatory and the remote instructions are sparse. The self-sticking adhesive is relatively sticky, but I would not trust it without using the clips that are included (and must be screwed in). The 38.4 foot length came in two separate coils of lights, so if you want one continuous strand, this is not it. Can be cut to shorter lengths, but the manufacturer does not recommend it.. An amusing aspect of these lights is that they can be music or voice activated, but you have to be very close to the sensor on the LED controller. There is a phone app with additional operational features, but we did not try that out. The lights are nice and bright and the colors are vibrant, there is a dimmer on the remote if you want to tone them down. We plan to deck out our RV with these lights and amaze our friends and family! ... show more

I'd give this "submersible" led strip negative 5 stars if possible. Installed inside rim of hot tub - above water line. They failed after a couple months use.

The 1st strand was malfunctioning. One half was showing a different color from the other! And then the 2nd half wouldn't even work! But when they did work, the color was not the chosen color! The 2nd set worked as they should. So... in my opinion, I should've been compensated for 1/2 the purchase! Not a good deal after all, was it? ... show more

This is a fun set of lights you can use in a boat or even RV like I plan to do. I did not install it yet but I tested the lights and length. It comes with the lights in 2 packs. The lights are bright and change colors with the included remote. This will definitely be a more professional addition to my lighting atmosphere. The length is enough to fit the length of my van plus extra. It does come with a few cords. I wish it would come with a non 12 volt for power, but adding one should not be difficult. Nice to have options on what to do with it if it doesn't work out or if you want to move it. Nice set, and I do like that it is 2 cords versus one. Would recommend for a boat or camper set up. The media could not be loaded. This is a nice set of lights. The colors are bright and distinct. Looks good, lighting up the ground under my RV. The remote is great but I will need to spend more time figuring out what is meant in the instructions and how that relates to the actual lighting. I suspect the App is better than the written instructions but again, I have not taken the time to download it get familiar with the functions. As noted on the listing, the lighting comes in 2 rolls making up a total of roughly 30'. In my application I would have liked to see the 30' in one piece, but two pieces allows for a more custom fit in some cases. I like that the wiring allows for quick and easy cigarette adapter use, or you can use the pigtail and hardwire the strips directly to a 12v source. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I am probably one of the few that bought these to run them under 4 inch thick ice. However they work great and my kids love ice skating over the lights and skating to music while the lights change to the beat. Hopefully they last all winter. Update: I have been using these lights under my ice skating rink for over a month and everything continues to work great! We had three days where the temperature barely got above 0° Fahrenheit. My ice is probably 10 in thick in the deepest section. I was initially worried that the weight of the ice would damage the lights but they are still working perfectly! ... show more
