This is a solid frame (heh, pun intended). Getting it together took about an hour and a half by myself, it would have been less but you need to really pay close attention to the pictures to make sure that you are putting the right piece where it needs to go (I inadvertently tightened the top frame with the headboard holes to the bottom frame part, easy to do if not looking closely). I’m not big on picture-only instructions and this likely could have been avoided with words, but I appreciate the nod to universal accessibility with this. Also be very sure to NOT tighten bolts until you are completely through. I tightened and then one of the final pieces couldn’t get in where it needed to go as there was no give. All this to say that if I was more careful this probably would take 30 minutes or so. Once together, I’m very impressed. This is replacing a close to 15 year old solid wood frame that I spent a good 9 times as much on than I did this frame. The wood frame was hard and true, and likely would have lasted many years more had I not done a dumb thing to it rendering it unusable. However, is squeaked and groaned like heck and it was a NIGHTMARE to move when I moved once with it, actually surprised I even got that moved in one piece without destroying it. This is MUCH quieter than a wood frame and I don’t hear even a slight squeak in it, even if I’m happening to be bouncing around, heh. as the pieces all come together and apart fairly easily, if you need to move this will be very very simple, another plus. I haven’t yet gotten a headboard for this but will, I just want to make 100% sure the headboard will fit the frame as many sizes vary from standard. But rating this frame, I am very impressed and happy and am now newly sold on metal frames. Highly recommend. ... show more

    • Easy enough to assemble alone
Size: Queen Style: 14 Inch
While the box itself is just over 40lbs, when assembling you aren't messing around with lopsided or awkward weights even when assembling alone. It is important to make sure you are assembling exactly where you want it and that you are not screwing everything completely tight until the frame is assembled entirely (which the directions warn, simply because some rods connect in such a way that if you had locked everything down you might have lossed the wiggle room need to fit things together. The frame is pretty quiet, it feels nice and sturdy. I tired to get it to come unbalanced just to see the limits and I couldn't. My bed was on the floor previously and with the frame you get a similar sureness to the frame. 14" may not be ideal for everyone, so check to make sure the bed isn't too high for you. Main complaint is that the hex tool that is included is a little cheap and the metal warps a bit when assembling everything to the point that it was hard to line the tool with the screw, the tool is aluminum and the screws seem to be galvanized so it might be an idea to use a steel hex tool if you have one on hand. ... show more

Easy to assemble, clear instructions, great mattress support and sturdy, doesn’t slide on our wood floors, the mattress doesn’t shift because the frame comes with pieces to hold the mattress in place. Plenty of storage room underneath!

    • Very sturdy
I’m a bigger woman. I was cautious about buying any kind of bed frame. I’ve had this about a month now and it is NOT budging. Absolutely no squeaking whatsoever although it’s just me. It came very well packaged all the pieces were labeled and the nuts and bolts in separate sections. It’s easier if you have 2 people to put it together. The downside is the bed slides everytime you move. I’m waiting to get a new bunkie board to put the mattress holders on. Pretty worth it though. It was a good investment. ... show more
