All of these washers do work, I have used 2 of my own and a friends once too. I haven’t used a regular washer or dryer for 4 years now, we live the off grid life here.. this one’s lint catcher is a joke, why even make it look like there is one there guys? My last one had a little net cloth that caught more than I ever thought we had moving through the wash. Because I know there is a lot of lint I wish this one had a real lint catcher in it. I have learned to shake all my laundry so I tend to do it before, in middle and at the end of the whole process. Otherwise the washer is great and the spinner is great too. I do not need the pump to get the water out and searched for one without so that I could reserve solar power while washing but having a pumpless one must be out dated and in our history now a days because I could not find one without. This one could use a real lint catcher. I never use any of the hose hookups, I have always used the hose from the movable shower head. My WASHING Process: I wash EVERYTHING (soap and water mix, not draining it per load, collecting clothes out of the wash with my hands and reloading as needed) washing each load for roughly 5 minutes then I spin EVERYTHING lightly for about a minute and set aside in a clean basket. When finished washing I then rinse EVERYTHING for 3-4 minutes and spin EVERYTHING for a full 2-3 minutes then hang (on a hanger) out on a line or inside near the wood stove depending on the time of year, laundry is dry and put away in 30 to 45 minutes. During rinsing I am being wasteful with water and throwing tons of the rinse water into the spinner with the clothes and refilling the tub with fresh water as needed. The media could not be loaded. So far so good, can hear it outside camper. But it works. Bad side I had to go personally to pick it up at UPS location in another town that was 30 minutes or so away. But so far it worth the trip. It gets your clothes clean. For now on I'll pick my items up at UPS and FedEx locations. Spent at least 5 hours trying to get things straightened out. It's wort 5 stars. I like it because I can manually fill it up and watch it drain. Well today on Thursday 11 2024 started malfunctioning. The agitator making a huge loud banging noise. It was good until it lasted. It's for small loads only, and not for every day use. It never drained very well by leaving some water in the hose so I'm assuming that it rusted up. The drain hose is very easy to get holes in because of the hose very poorly made. But it's all good. I'm going to replace it and this time get one that spins on it's own.     • Quit working after 2nd load on first day

First of all I was so excited to get this one. My first one I had was a different model and smaller but after about 4 months the impeller/agitator quit. It was a used one and they had it for quite awhile. So when I was able to save up to get a new one, I found this one. Much bigger than I expected. The first day I received it I immediately put it to good use. I washed 2 loads of clothes and it worked great. But then the 3rd load had to be drained without the washing. THE IMPELLER/AGITATOR DILLY QUIT WORKING. I am so disappointed in this machine. I read the troubleshooter and done exactly as it said but still doesn’t work. Now I have the hassle of having to send it back and save up once again to get a different brand this time. I really liked the style of this one but buyers beware. I burned the packaging so I hope they will send me some so I can return it. I don’t recommend this product at all. ... show more

    • A Positively Ingenious and Quirky Toy

First of all, if you have no other option available to you for washing clothes this appliance is SOLID GOLD! I bought mine because the conventional machine that is readily available to me sits in a filthy basement and is shared with two other single men - 'nuff said about that. The power cord is too short. The water inlet hose is not only short but flimsy and good luck connecting to any water source. I "lucked out" but I won't go into detail here. The wash tub on this model is huge. The extraction cylinder is much smaller but surprisingly fast and effective. All functions are loud, so if you live in an apartment, better to give your neighbors a "heads-up" before using it. The impeller at the bottom of the wash-tub powerfully swirls the water clockwise, then (a second motor?) swirls counter-clockwise alternately until the timer stops. Sheets (and I imagine pant-legs) twist into "rope" so I wash in three minute intervals, extract and untwist such items by hand between cycles. You must "baby-sit" the machine throughout the ENTIRE enterprise. However the GOOD news is that YOU are in control. Everything is manual so you don't have to waste time waiting for a "smart" HE machine to pause - "sense" and otherwise "think" - about what it wants to do next, while you are thinking about everything else you have to do that day. I have mine set atop a rolling platform dolly - a must unless yours will be stationary. Fortunately, I have access to a gas dryer. If you are hang drying, don't expect the clean clothes to feel "warm and fuzzy" when you put them on. I have yet to decide whether or not to go on using this appliance. If nothing else, it may one day serve as a back-up should the house machine ever break down. Update: I gave this product three stars. In this review I stated in my own opinion the good and the not so good. To my great surprise, the seller offered me a "full refund" within days of my review. Let it be known that despite it's ideosyncrasies and somewhat limited capabilities, this unit is a great little alternative to a full size fully automatic washer. Thank you LanBo Online! I hope it lasts. Keeper! Update: I roll my washer in and out of an (old home) large bathroom with a hardwood floor. The dolly has plastic wheels so the vibrations rumble throughout the house. I try to wash at select times of the day however I may buy a 24 x 36 one-inch thick compressed rubber "fatigue" mat to deaden the vibrations. This thing is anything but quiet. Someone here suggested not opening the door on the extractor side lest the drum-brake wear prematurely - GOOD ADVICE! Rather, always allow the drum to come to a complete stop on its own. The extractor spins on quality bearings so it takes some time for the drum to stop spinning - just wait - if you have the time. Also, if the load is unbalanced - you will immediately know it because left alone, the extractor is very powerful and will just about knock the machine off the dolly - all a part of the legendary "learning-curve" spoken of by many reviewers! Update: Sadly, I discovered that it twists items into knots that must carefully - (without stretching shirt-arms etc.) be untangled as they are removed. This is my biggest complaint. I would wash genuinely delicate items in the wash section by hand, maybe a spin or two of the impeller - but not much more. ... show more
