Was looking for a garden stool that’s low enough to the ground so I can do weeding without putting pressure on the balls of my feet while squatting. It’s the perfect height for me, nothing fancy, but just what I needed. Because there’s not much to it, its light weight, it’s easy to move around, and doesn’t take up much room to store it. I know some people mentioned it’s unstable but I think that’s only an issue if you already have balance challenges. I found it leans just enough so I can reach for something a little farther away, but have yet to lose balance on it. However if that’s something that’s already a challenge for you, then maybe you need a different stool with no wobble to it. I’ve now used it in the garden and in the garage- I reach for it whenever I’m working on a project that puts me near the ground. I am very pleased with this one and it has quickly become an indispensable tool in my arsenal. ... show more

    • So many improvements! And one small unexpected down side
I've had an older version of this stool for years and love it, but the seat is cracked and I have LONG wished for some padding and an easy way to keep my phone near and out of the dirt as I move around the yard. This upgraded version solves all of those things. It even has a seat that swivels! Which I am not used to I guess and have discovered that if you don't realize you have swiveled around and are no longer oriented in line with the bottom supports.... One more extra bit of leaning gets you dumped on the ground. I have tested this more than once and it seems to hold true - you've got to pay attention to where the base of the seat is pointed! Now thankfully I am nice and low to the ground on this stool so I haven't gotten hurt, just felt ridiculous. I would probably prefer a way to lock the swivel. But this stool (and it's earlier version) have been the only reason I have been able to continue taking care of my yard through years of back\nerve problems & a lumbar fusion at 38 yo. It's perfect for being able to support yourself with an arm on one knee and the design lets you maneuver quite a bit from one spot! Just beware of being a weeble wobble. ... show more

This is a great gardening seat. Sitting upright it is stable but it also supports leaning forward or to the side. Lightweight and easy to carry. TIP: there is a square and round hole to secure post to bottom, insert long bolt through square side.
