I was in a hurry when I purchased this product.... and I did not look at the last photo. This rock pick does NOT have a sharp point as I mistakenly thought it did ! It has a wide flat edge on the end... NOT what I wanted ! I wanted an actual sharp point on the end of the rock pick. This thing... will probably not work for my intended purpose (helping to pull up thick weeds and vegetation growing in very rocky soil (example- large chunks of rock underneath the sand and dirt) ! Bought as a gift for my father. He said it was durable and got in his hand well. The only issue we had was it doesn't stay sharp long, regardless of the material we use, have to sharpen more than we thought.

I used this on a geology trip with my university and it was great! Having never used a rock hammer before, I had no expectations but it worked really well! The only thing is that the end of the hammer gets beaten down very quickly so if you are looking for something more durable this might not be the best long term. ... show more
