  • A helpful read
Dummies books are almost always spot-on in their usefulness. I say almost only because some titles do go stale as technology advances. I need to update some of the titles in my library. But I digress. Mr. Arrick does a good job of introducing the concept of kit robotics to the curious. Focusing on a specific kit platform called the ARobot, we are led through it's simple construction then add-on projects. If you're ready to attempt a simple robot, this book is an excellent choice. ... show more

  • Robot Building
I liked the first portion of the book, what are the choices to begin a robotic project. The later parts were detailed and covered a basic robot building project for minimal cost. A very good book to explore what's involved with robot building for beginner and advanced. The negative was the book might have been a few years out of date. The book needs some updating. ... show more

  • The Amber Diary Review
A nice book for anyone looking to make a robot. I just wish the could have explored the part of making a robot from scratch more, instead of taking the time to explain making robots from kits.

Great book for beginners. My son is 8 but flips through this a lot. We haven't started building yet but it is getting him interested.
