I was very skeptical of this vacuum because it claims to do a lot; however, I can confidently say that it delivers on every promise. I own several cats and dogs, so the house gets dirty quickly—to the point where we had to sweep and mop more than five times a day. We picked up this vacuum to help with cleaning duties and make things a little easier. However, not only did it help, but it’s able to do all the cleaning entirely on its own. It’s super easy to set up—just plug it in, download the app, and you’re good to go. Speaking of the app, it’s very sleek, with an intuitive UI. It’s clear that a lot of time and effort went into its design because it’s well-organized and easy to navigate, with tons of customization options. Everything you need to access can be done straight from the app. What really sets this vacuum apart are the smart features. It self-cleans the mop heads with hot water, dries them, automatically empties the dust compartment, and even cleans the dock tray itself. The only things you have to do manually are refill the water, empty the dirty water, and change the dust collection bag—tasks that only need to be done occasionally. Not only that, but they made it extremely easy to do. What really sold me on this product was the very first time I emptied the dirty water and cleaned out the dust collection bag. Wow. The water was filthy, and it had collected so much dirt and pet hair—literal fistfuls of pet hair. And this was after only two runs. I was in disbelief because the area I cleaned wasn’t even that large—it was just my downstairs. Yet, despite picking up that much pet hair, none of it tangled in the brushes. With my previous Roomba, I constantly had to unscrew the rollers to remove stuck pet hair, but with this vacuum, that’s not an issue. The battery life is also excellent. As I’m writing this review, it just finished vacuuming and mopping my entire downstairs and only used 30% of the battery—plenty of power left for additional cleaning if needed. The ability to set schedules is also a game-changer. I can have it run in the middle of the night, so when I wake up in the morning, everything is already clean. This vacuum has completely changed my cleaning routine, and I highly recommend it! ... show more

Pro: * Pretty quiet during vacuuming and dust bin emptying compared to others I’ve used * Suction power is pretty impressive * Mapping is accurate * Battery cycle is very impressive * It does a great job of self cleaning Cons: * While the side brush does a great job it is a bit aggressive * If it detects an object it will not rescan the area to verify if it’s still there or not when it comes back around to actually clean that path All in all this is a pretty impressive robot with an appropriate price tag. The kick out mop pad and side brush do an amazing job and the AI performs much better than others tested in that regard. The methodology the vacuum approaches rugs is great (working the perimeters before actually vacuuming). I am very pleased so far with this purchase and I believe it will perform equally well in most homes. I have three cats and a dog. I do not have carpeted floors but I do have area rugs. ... show more

This is the best purchase I’ve ever made. I have allergies, but I also have pets. We run this at least once a day and it’s made a huge difference. I also like that, I can order parts very easily on Amazon when they need to be replaced. I love having a clean floor all the time! Life gets busy and every time Rocky starts running I think him/her out loud 🤣 My only wish for this was that the app was a little bit easier to navigate.     • It works good, but lots of unnecessary functionality

We had a roborock S6 with a simple manual dock and mop pad, which ran for 3 years every day. It was starting to lose it's mind occasionally and getting very loud, so I thought I should replace it. All I really wanted was the video capability and a good vacuum. The only way to get the camera function now is to buy a $900 system (we paid less than $400 for the S6). I didn't want the mop or the auto-emptying but I thought I'd try it. Here's my opinion: Auto emptying - sometimes. But if it picks up something too large (like a wrapper) it won't suck it out and you'll never know unless you check. Plus the little bitty filter clogs at least every other day so you have to empty and clean that anyway. Therefore, auto-empty isn't very helpful. Mopping - I gave this a chance, but I'm sorry, it doesn't mop worth crap. Leaves streaks all over. It does clean somewhat I guess, but I can mop the floor with a mop much quicker and a whole lot better. Vacuum - much stronger than my S6, and cleans very well. And is quieter. Only downside is it is so strong that it is fraying the edges of our area rugs. Navigation - very good. Avoids objects, takes pictures of the pets, let's you talk to them and see your house remotely as it cleans (which I really like). Extendable twirly arm - I really wanted this, and it does allow the twirly brush to get under cabinets and crevices much better. However, mine eats itself every few days, the twirly flaps somehow get sucked into the vacuum rollers and lock it up. That's a design problem! Overall - Roborock is the best system out there in my opinion. It saves us tons of time vacuuming, keeps pet hair and dust under control, and the navigation is nothing short of amazing. My biggest gripe is that it is more complex than it needs to be. The automatic emptying, mopping, mop cleaning, etc, is technically impressive but really doesn't help much. If I still have to take out the filter and clean it, and check to see if the cannister was auto-emptied, it really does not save me any effort. And I'm concerned that all the complexity could cause issues later on, but time will tell. ... show more
