This review is based on the $280 typical price, not the $599 "retail price". For $280, it is a 5-Star robot vac. For $599, I would want more. Pluses: easy to use and understand. App does not require intimate knowledge of computers. You don't even need to use the app unless you want to schedule cleanings - just press the button on top. Self emptying charging dock with BAG so you don't have to deal with emptying dust bins and washing filters. Cleaning is much better than expected. We did NOT want one with a mop since I didn't want to deal with a container of dirty water sitting around for a month. Relatively quiet and relatively intelligent - works around obstacles and avoids cliffs - even updates maps when it finds a clif you didn't mark out. Upside: long battery life, good cleaning, self emptying and charging auto-dock. Bagged dirt collection. Lots of after-market consumable supplies available at very reasonable prices. We have had this for a little over 3 months and have just replaced the dust bag. We don't have children or animals so no comment about issues often reported in those environments for most robot vacs, i.e. "smear" incidents. Down sides: sometimes gets itself trapped in a forest of chair legs like in a dining room, and will snooze until freed. Most of the time it can work itself out, but not always. Doesn't always notice soft obstacles like socks and the like, so you have to tidy up after yourself or else it may vacuum up the sock and stop, complaining of indigestion. ... show more

I LOVE THIS ROBOT VACUUM!!! I have owned a Eufy and Roomba and absolutely HANDS DOWN this guy is better! It is smart. You can set it to avoid things like a Christmas tree, a difficult rug, and room you don't want it to go into. You can have multiple maps. Example- I have a Christmas time map for the tree and my regular scheduled map. It does a wonderful job cleaning and you can set it to change it's cleaning power in different areas. Example- Our bedroom has carpet and we have dogs so I have it go max on the cleaning for that room. It goes in a wonderful pattern and doesn't miss places like my other two robot vacuums did and leaves some beautiful lines. It is much quieter than my other two. Although it has gotten louder since I first bought it but that is expected. in my opinion. It does such a GREAT job!!! I would be this again for sure and plan to stay with this brand forever. My home has a mix of tile, carpet and wood flooring with many rugs. That vacuum is able to handle all of them easily. Unlike previous robot vacuums, that moved around randomly this one can be set to go in straight lines or even cross hatch pattern. You can set it for different levels of suction in different rooms, but it also has an auto-adjust feature when it transitions from hard floors to carpet. I like that it notifies you if it becomes stuck on a cord or other object. It is a little noisier than I had hoped but I have scheduled it to run in the main part of the house during the night. It is not noticeable while sleeping. My bedrooms are set to be cleaned during the day when I am working. It definitely works well to keep the dust levels and pet hair at bay. I have long hair that sheds, so I have to clean the rollers once per week but it is very easy to do. Less than 1 minute to clean them. Overall I am very happy with this product. ... show more

    • Does a decent job...but be aware of this issue before you buy.

As advertised, this product vacuums hard surfaces and carpets...but not surprisingly, the margins between a rug and the hard floor creates a perfect place for lint balls and debris to accumulate...the vacuum even deposits lint from the roller in that seam. I have to run my rechargable stick vacuum over that margin. Not sure there is a product that can resolve that issue. This product gets a 4 because of that issue, but it does save me considerable time. I will say the floor mapping and coverage is pretty remarkable...and overall, this vacuum does a decent job. Its not meant to deep vacuum...but if you run it regularly, it stays on top of collecting dust and minor accumulation of dirt. If you only have hard surface flooring...or can pick up your rugs before you run the vacuum, it works pretty satifactorily. Area rugs with furniture on them is what creates this minor nuisance. The collection bag for this product fills rather quickly...pretty full after a few runs. I have attempted to save money by manually pulling and shaking the debris from the collection bag...and then taking the bag outside to shake the dust out of the bag to allow it to breathe as it operates. This process seems to work and does not effect the efficacy of the product. At some point I will probably break down and buy replacement bags, but for now, I will continue to use this method to empty the bag until it becomes to clogged to work. ... show more
