I have owned the roborock E4 and Rumba I3+, roborock did a good job with a few issues, while the rumba didn't clean as well , but eventually stop cleaning, sent it back for repair, after awhile stop cleaning again. The roborock Q5 Pro (no self-empty dock) is a very improved machine, the room mapping functions well, much improved navigating around obstacles, the cleaning action is excellent, and the Roborock application has greatly improved, from connecting to wi-fi, to scheduling and to selecting rooms for cleaning. I did not intend to use the mopping function, but leaving the mop attachment on acts like a great dusting action on hardwood floors. ... show more

Size: Q5 Pro
I bought the Q5 Pro after my Neato D4 stopped working and after buying a iRobot i6. I quickly returned the i6 because it lacked mapping and no-go zones - which the Q5 has. The Q5 is a nice robot - once you run it for an initial mapping run, you can then set your zones, name rooms, and set a schedule. The suction is fantastic - my rugs are not deep shag, just 1/4 inch or so, and it cleans them so well. My favorite feature is the LIDAR - the map you get can be viewed 2D or 3D, and you can zoom in to adjust zones and put virtual walls. Battery life seems good - with about 12% drain after 400 square feet. This is with the rug cleaning suction set to a slightly higher level, I suspect it would use less battery if left on the default setting. The waste bin is easy to empty, as is removing the filter (which is washable BTW) Setup with my network took a bit longer than expected - mostly due to me not seeing a small dot that needed to be pressed to complete the connection to Wifi - this should be made clearer and larger in the app, because the Wifi setup has one huge "connect" button but the small dot is not obvious... but once I overcame my ignorance, everything worked perfectly. People has noted issues with 5G and 2.4 networks, but I think if you have a modern gateway and router you shouldn't have any problem with using both at the same time. Its voice is a bit harsh IMO, a softer female one would've been preferred, but that's not why I bought a robot vacuum. This does a great job of cleaning - noise is not bad at all, on hard floors all you hear are the brushes. When on carpet with the suction turned up it can be a little louder but not terrible at all. This robot blows away my old Neat D4, and IMO is much better than the iRobot i6. The i6 has slightly better build quality - that thing is a tank. The Q5 feels a little cheaper but that's only the flaw I can even think of. I'm happy with the Q5! thank you ... show more

Size: Q5 Pro+
Replaced my Wyze robot vacuum which worked flawlessly for two years, and then started to ram into walls, spin in circles. Wyze would not support any troubleshooting. Forums helped me conclude after a battery replacement, it can't be fixed. After hours of research, watching youtube videos, and talking to friends, I made the choice to purchase the roborock Q5 Pro+. The mop feature was an afterthought, and this was purchased for the vacuum preformance. Setup and install only took about 10min. My multi room main floor has lots of one inch heigh differences between rooms. Wood floors with lots of low pile rugs, was no issue for this vacuum. It ran very quiet, and picked up all the small dirt and debris that existed as my wyze vacuum stopped working two weeks ago. At the end of the vacuum cycle, where it almost never bumps into anything, cleans by the walls, and doesn't get stuck in small areas, it returns to its charging station. As it empties its small chamber into the larger charging station, that is quite loud, as loud as a large stand alone vacuum cleaner, though it only lasts for about 10 seconds. The mopping function is useless as many, many reviews here will let you know. The device is not smart enough to figure out rugs vs wood floors. The pad does not stay wet enough to properly clean, and if you let it soak before use, it leaves steaks on your floor. I'm fine with that, as I did not need this function for purchase. However, for the price, it really should work. Other devices by other brands that sell for this price or cheaper have much, much more effective mops. That said, I'm much happier with this robot vacuum then my Wyze, though there is a price difference, the tech and effectiveness are miles above. It's very possible more expensive devices from Roborock are more effective combo with mop. However, I wasn't willing to spend even more to take that chance. ... show more
