Description

This product disperses rapidly to establish a chlorine protection quickly. It stabilizes pool water and extends the life of the disinfectant. Use a reliable test kit to determine the stabilizer concentration in the pool water. Follow the included chart to bring the pool water to the desired range of 40-100 ppm. If the pool is new, just refilled, or has no stabilizer; add 4 oz. of this product per 1000 gallons to give the desired range of 40-100 ppm. Add this product slowly into the skimmer, or if desired, premix in a pail of warm water and then add directly to the skimmer. Be sure the filter is clean. Recirculate the water continuously for 24 hours to dissolve completely. Always maintain the chlorine residual in your pool at 2.0-4.0 ppm and pH at 7.4-7.6.

  • It works, a good value and dissolves.
Size: 21-Pounds
Not much to say it works, brings up my cya. It comes in 3 7lbs packages, which is good to keep the chemical fresh. In all likelihood you will only need 10-12 lbs to go from zero to 60-70 Cya. Therefore you will have a good amount for next year. Many reviews state that it clogs up their pump. I did not have that issue and never had. The trick is to add it slowly over several hours. I dropped half a bag 3-4 lbs, waited a few hours and dropped the rest. If you need 12 lbs and put it in all at once maybe thats the issue. I put it in a kitchen garbage can with hot water from kitchen faucet (not boiling), mixed it around for 5 minutes. Poured into the skimmer, it didn’t all dissolve and pump had no issues. I could see some white pellets in the pump look through but they went away 30 minutes later. Best price I can find at the time (May 2024) ... show more

  • Quality of product and ease of use.
Size: 21-Pounds
I poured this product in one of my skimmers using a skimmer sock. This product dissolved throughout the night and gave me a 50ppm CYA reading. I only used one bag. I have a 16k gallon pool. I'll definitely be using it again as the cost is very reasonable.

  • Works well!!
Size: 7-Pounds
Use this yearly to help conserve the chlorine in our pool. Easy to use. Keeps chlorine levels consistent and def makes it last longer. Little pricey though

  • It works.... eventually!
Size: 7-Pounds
Original 2022 Review I wanted to add a positive review after seeing that all the top listed reviews for this product are negative. Up front: it's cheap - about 30% cheaper than the stuff I can get at my pool store). The product description is slightly inaccurate - it's 98% CYA not 100% (didn't matter to me) Like all the reviews say it is GLACIALLY slow at dissolving in pool water. For me it took one old pair of gym socks, one seven pound bag of this stuff, a couple of zip ties and a week of patience, once the CYA-stuffed-socks were tossed in the skimmer. I got the stabilizer raise I expected from the volume of product I added. If you have the time, this stuff does work. UPDATED FOR 2023 I purchased another bag of this because..... it's that time of year! Same experience: the product is S.L.O.W to dissolve, but it works. 2 weeks in the skimmers in athletic socks (the same bright green ones as last year) and this stuff is gone and my CYA reading is up with the level of increase I would expect from 7lbs of product. So what's the bottom line. * If you are the kind of person who wants to increase your CYA by throwing this into the bottom of your pool, or poring it directly into a skimmer so it goes in your filter - this is not the product for you. It's too slow to dissolve. * If you are the kind of person who wants to boil water and stir and wait and boil and stir and wait until you can add it to the pool already dissolved - this is not the product for you. It's too slow to dissolve. * If you want/need a quick increase in CYA - this is not the product for you. It's too slow to dissolve. * If you have a bit of time (10-14 days) and a couple of old socks - this product works and it's cheap. I will be back form more next year. (To the very few reviewers out there that are getting NO CYA increase from this product, maybe a bad batch or maybe user error? That has not been my experience either time) ... show more

  • Great value - do yourself a favor and buy this product to save money!
Size: 21-Pounds
I bought the 21lb version of this pool stabilizer product. I was pleasantly surprised that it contained 3 7lb bags, the same ones I paid much higher prices for in the pool store. I estimate that by buying in bulk I saved about 50% off what I would have paid at the pool store. Highly recommend!

An economical choice. Works as good as any other for less.

  • OMG….slower than Moses!
Size: 1.75-Pounds
Not a fan of the Robelle brand stabilizer at all and will not purchase again. It did raise my CYA, but it took days to dissolve inside the sock in front of my jet return (google “the sock method” if you’re lost). The granules are kind of big and take a while to dissolve. DO NOT dump this product into your skimmer!! It is thick and will likely clog it! Use the sock method instead!! I’m giving it 3 stars simply because it does work, but do not test your CYA for at least a week after it dissolves!! Yes, it takes forever to show up on a reliable CYA test, and you could end up adding too much if you aren’t patient. I would skip this one unless you are on a budget and already have at least some CYA in your water already since this one likes to take it’s sweet time… ... show more
