    • great screen but...
The concept of this is fantastic; update your older vehicle to more modernized technology. the problem is the execution. First, the instructions are very lacking. Even the parent company website really stinks for this, but I got lucky by finding something similar on YouTube. Definitely not the easiest thing to do (and I'm pretty handy with stuff). Once everything was connected in order to test everything out, the screen came on right away. Gorgeous!!! CarPlay seemed to work pretty well. The only problem was all the native Mercedes functionality did not work at all. Checked for loose connections and everything...all was perfect. There were some blogs which talked about other issues such as losing steering wheel control functionality. I wasn't willing to lose my backup camera to have CarPlay when the native bluetooth works pretty well. Luckily putting everything back to the way it was before I started taking it apart went smoothly and everything is back to normal (98% normal).
