Nothing to dislike, quick, large and did what was described. Install was tight took a little while but when completed and buttoned up it’s perfect. I have been using about 2weeks and zero complaints once you mess with some of the factory settings so your MB doesn’t try and out smart it changing settings in background which is annoying(CarPlay would go off and on or it would stay on but music would stop every 30sec on Pandora then I would have to click play again). YouTube is what I used, wasn’t a hard fix and it isn’t the unit it’s the vehicle it’s just thinking it’s making your life easier but it’s not. Would recommend to friends. ... show more

2018 Mercedes GLC 300 4Matic with NTG5.0 Okay, I just purchased this unit in May. I finally got around to having it installed by a professional because honestly it looked way more complicated then the videos demonstrate and even the Professional installer took 5 hours to get everything just right. I'm gonna go over my experience and also put my own tips in here because I had to learn the hard way. Factory Reset Code for most Units is: 190627, commit that to memory, write it down screen shot send to yourself in an email, you'll need this! First, Using the phone via Apple CarPlay causes an echo, also you sound far away to the person on the other end of the phone, which to me ruins the experience. Solution: I went into <settings><Factory><Bluetooth><select OEM> I did this because people say I sound better using the MB OEM Bluetooth. I also just plug in my device with the wire and leave it on <Interface 1> where my dongle is connected in my MB. I know it was said not to use MB Bluetooth as this could interfere with the wireless CarPlay, which is why I say use the cable if you decide to do this! Next, My Camera was blank!!! Solution: Go into Setting again and just Select OEM Camera because I think it was defaulted to aftermarket camera and that won't work! After I made that change everything works fine. Screen, okay the screen is decent could be a bit brighter IMO, but it's fine most of the time. The glare is very reflective though, but honestly I'm too busy driving to really pay that much attention to it and I can still clearly see the turns, so not a deal breaker by any means. Touchscreen is good enough for me and the system is still a massive upgrade from my Stock one! Mobile Internet: You can use your Hotspot on you phone to enable other features such as watching YouTube or other streaming apps you downloaded directly onto the android system. You can get a separate data SIM, but why spend the money if you can just charge your phone and use it's HotSpot, it connect fast and works just fine. Music Playback. You can change the default apps for music playback in the Settings on Android Screen. I tried to get SXM, but it won't go full screen, and you cannot log into it, so I used YouTube Music instead. You could use Spotify, Pandora, or whatever else you choose though. This was just my two cents if it's worth anything to anyone else with the same car as me. Your situation may be different, but I strongly suggest having it installed professionally because they will make it look neat and you won't have a loose screen, other other lingering problems because you wanted to save money. if your willing to spend $600 bucks to buy it, have it installed right the first time and you'll be about $900 out of pocket, but add massive value to your car should you resell it to someone else! ... show more

    • VERIZON 4G IS INCOMPATIBLE WITH THIS DEVICE

Product is good. Built well and all the cables are strong and well grouped. It is not as simple as just having CarPlay from the factory, you have to go through some steps, but when connected it works well. Screen is fast and responsive. I wish there was more control over dashboards. A lot of items on it I will never use but you cannot remove them. Install is not technically difficult, but is a bit frustrating just because of working with so many wires in a small space. But all wires are labeled and it is obvious were everything goes. I was planning on using an open phone line I have on my Verizon account to put on this, but as I found out, it does not work on Verizon's network. Now reading other questions on here it appears there are many carriers in the US that this does not work for. I am debating returning for that reason as I wanted easy access to internet as I travel without using hotspots or the like. So to sum it up. Build is good. Wiring is good and well identified. Install is frustrating, but not difficult, software is so-so...limited on customizability. 4G does not seem to want to work with the main US carriers. Touch screen is bright, fast, and responsive. Worth $600? Maybe depending on what parts of it you will utilize. ... show more

With their YouTube video and some other install videos, I was able to install myself. Road Top support has been responsive and good to work with, answering each of my questions. They’ve also sent me updates to help with some setup issues. I would shop with them again.
