This is one awesome machine Works great. I'm looking to add a second one this week I like it that much . Also I recommend this to 2 other guys and they are also purchasing one after showing them mine. I Highly recommend Rix leap 6 but add the lrf 01 you will need it .

    • GREAT SCOPE! Especially for the price!
After reading all the reviews on this scope, I took the plunge and bought it. I heard the view through the eyepiece is much better in person than what is shown in the online videos. That is totally correct. The amount of detail and clarity is EXCELLENT! This is my 5th or 6th thermal scope now and this one is the best overall for me. I don't know if I can say the other brands I have had and am comparing this one to, but maybe you'll recognize them this way... the top 3 were TS35-640 then the Clarion 640 and the last one was the MK2 LRF RH50R. And there some others that I bought initially before I learned what to look for. I should mention the "Optical Zoom" feature that makes this scope much different than the others. This feature is pooh-poohed by many as not being a "real optical zoom". I am no expert on this - just someone who loves clear thermal images. In one regard I guess they are right in that the electronic image through the eyepiece is being enlarged and it seems to zoom in. But for me, it seems just like a real optical zoom. The screen image maintains its clarity even when zooming to the max. I did not believe that was possible. It is SO MUCH BETTER than the standard digital zoom and way better than a dual optical that I've owned. I am keeping this scope. I just ordered the laser range finder for it too.     • Worked for 2 min and then the left adjustment knob bricked. Manufacturer told me to kick rocks.
Bit the bullet and purchased this item after reading reviews and doing research on comparable products. The scope arrived and worked for about 2 mintutes after I mounted it and turned it on. After that, the left knob stopped indexing and completely stopped working. I called RIX customer support and they basically told me that I had to contact the retailer from which I purchased it and that they couldn't help me. I have just submitted for a refund through Amazon and will be shipping this product back this afternoon. I will update this review or create another one to update whether or not Amazon actually refunds my money. I suspect I am out almost $4k. ... show more

After using the LEAP L6 and various other models.. I can tell you this scope blows away the competition with features and benefits! Multiple different color pallets give you flexibility in many types of terrain and lighting situations. Optical zoom as well as digital zoom makes magnification a breeze and clarity for any user. Highly sensitive thermal sensor gives amazing clarity even in dense fog scenarios. Video recording and audio recording is such a nice feature. Recoil activated video worked perfectly. Battery life is even better in this model than other RIX units I have used. I purchased the RIX LEAP L6 through ESSENCE OUTDOORS LLC!! They have been nothing but amazing to work with on multiple different purchases. Customer service is hands down one of the best parts of working with their company and questions have been answered professionally and promptly. If you are unsure of the product or have questions..
