I gave this as a gift to a neighbor who admired mine. The lid comes apart very easily to clean it out of loose leaf tea. I like the clear see thru glass, as you can tell how dark you want to steep your tea.

I’m new to loose leaf tea but a local shop has Rishi tea, I tried one and like it so much I ended up buying some directly so I could make it at home. (Pricey but really good)! So I started by pouring hot water from a pan on the stove (don’t own a teapot, nor do I want one) into a cup with one of those mesh balls-huge failure, bought muslin reusable bags at a local natural food shop-not bad, but then I saw this…game changer!!! I put the desired amount of water in it, put it through the Keurig and while it’s heating up I put the tea in the cup. After the hot water is in the cup, put the mesh strainer on, let it steep for the recommended time, then decant. Perfect!! ... show more

This little pot is great for brewing loose leaf tea and I'm sure tea bags too. It's small, makes about 12 oz, but that's perfect for one cup for me. Most of the filter baskets I have are annoying to clean when the leaves are caught in the mesh or holes. The filter on this pot is perfect and rinses clean easily! Also it's fun to watch the leaves bloom in the hot water in this see through pot. I will most likely be getting another one because my daughter has her eyes on this one! ... show more
