  • Frustrating Start
the stand was a hassle to setup 1. the first shipment had missing pieces. I learned this is due to Amazon re-using returns for purchases. So the last purchaser had made a return without all the parts 2. the manufacturer does not offer sales of individual parts, so I had to do a return and get a replacement through Amazon 3. When I setup the stand, instructions read to tighten the hex bolts with supplied tool. No such tool existed! I needed to use my 3/4" drive socket wrench with 17mm socket + a wrench to hold the hex bolt carriages in place 4. I had 2 unnecessary m10 80mm hex bolts and missing 2 required M10 70mm hex bolts! 5. I go to home depot to discover the instruction sizes for the hex bolts are wrong! The stand requires m10 75mm and m10 65 mm hex bolts, not 70 and 80! 6. once I bought the 2 missing 65(!)mm hex bolts, I completed the installation, and it looks solid. If you do decide to purchase this, quite frankly, buy directly from the manufacturer. One less thing to worry about. It's a solid design stand and good material, but I do expect I'll need to buy weights to keep the stand sturdy. This is a problem with most of these comparable stands. I expect to be happy with my purchase (I haven't tried it out yet) but, boy oh boy, this was a frustrating start! ... show more

  • Strong as an ox + Just bear it down with some weights and a yoga mat as shown below
All you need is some weights and a yoga mat as shown above and please follow this format + this thing is seriously built + I'm about 220 Pounds and 6 feet even and I go all the way in strong with combos after combo and it holds very well with a bit of rattling but not that bad .... just follow the weight tips by looking at the pictures and you will surely enjoy your boxing 🥊 experience 😜 ... show more

  • Great, strong stand for my home gym but a beast to set up...
This stand is great. A strong, sturdy stand that withstands my kicks and punches. I have it with 1-50 lb sandbags on each side and 2-50 sandbags at the back which is plenty. Also has brackets for bolting if you want to go that way as well. The only lousy thing is the directions. They are laughably small (miniature diagram) and the parts weren't labeled. Some screws looked the same length at first glance, but recommend laying ALL of them out before you start assembly. The last step was hilarious - it had you attaching the mounting hardware AFTER you had completed the whole stand. Also, recommend NOT tightening screws when installing the support arms since tolerances were tight. Instead, tighten all of these at the end when all screws are installed. Once you get beyond the installation, you will have a quality stand for a LONG time. ... show more

  • Yes the instructions could be written better but it is not too hard to figure out
I finished putting this together yesterday. Yes the instructions could be written better but it is not too hard to figure out. I was able to do this myself. Make sure you have a socket wrench. I had to go get the right size. You will need an 11/16th or 17mm socket, and a I used a combination wrench of the same size to hold the nut as I screwed in the bolt. I hung a 100lb bag and it seems to hold the weight just fine. I found the stand to tip pretty easily if you get the bag swinging. I will attach some bungee cords from the bottom of the bag and see if that helps. I did notice that the pegs meant for holding weights make the base uneven so it wobbles a little. I have it on a foam tile floor and once I put the bag on it was fine. It came in good shape except for one of the support bars was scraped up, but only on the side that faces the wall so I didn't really care. ... show more

  • EXCELLENT BAG STAND AT THE RIGHT HEIGHT
this is a great bag stand that puts the bag at an ideal height. this can be used by real boxers. it is easy to put together. use common sense unlike these other weekend/fad trainers who complained about this stand in other reviews. TIGHTEN the bolts all the way and torque them good. USE SAND BAGS TO HOLD IT DOWN. it WILL lean a bit if hit at the right angle even with the sandbags but nothing to worry about. i practice power shots on this as well as kicks. its sturdy and i only have 3 sand bags holding it down although it will sway at a certain angle but nothing that will worry me. and if i added more sandbags this thing would be very very sturdy. i cannot find a better one in this price range that doesnt take up a ridiculous amount of space and costs the same. ... show more

  • Sturdy stand
Access to a decent hex bolt set makes assembly easy. Sturdy enough to hang a bag without weights. However, better to have weights at bottom before starting a vigorous workout.

  • Cheap, fragile garbage
This stand showed up packaged like nobody cared whether it arrived intact or not. One of the support braces is bashed up fairly good as a result and missing entire sections of red paint. For whatever reason they decided to package 4 of the bolts, several of the washers and two nuts completely separate from the rest of the blister-pack of hardware. Luckily I found them at the last minute all tucked neatly into a piece of crumpled brown packing paper in the box, otherwise I would have made an unnecessary trip to the hardware store. The stand itself is very cheaply constructed and definitely not worth the money. The metal tubing that holds the eye-bolt started to collapse from me hand tightening the bolt in place. In general most bolt holes didn't line up quite correctly and the center beam leans slightly to the right as a result of this. My biggest issue with this stand is how top heavy it is. I have added 150lbs to the base of the this thing and it still wants to rock violently when I throw combos. I'm going to add an additional 100lbs centered around the main beam and see if that solves the tipping issue. I am fairly confident that this stand won't last more than a couple of months without me adding additional bracing and support. I regret this purchase and would return it in a heartbeat if the packaging for the box wasn't completely destroyed in transit, making it virtually impossible to re-box it. Unless you throw little humming-bird punches and never make any real impact with your bag when you strike, or you have no other alternate for hanging a bag, avoid this stand. ... show more
