  • Loved it before talking to customer service...
Loved this bag initially and after a couple of months of light use, noticed some stitching breaking away from a seam at the top of the bag. Figured that since it was clearly a manufacturer defect, they would want to somehow accommodate the customer. I was wrong. They said that since it was past their short warranty period, they would not do anything and that I was SOL. Unfortunately uncaring customer service will earn you bad press. Sorry Ringside, might want to check your quality control standards and take care of your once loyal customers. ... show more

  • Garbage in fill
So I just received this bag Wed, hung it and it seemed like it would do the trick... until my 12 year old came in and told me there was something hard sticking out in the middle. I checked it out from the outside and sure enough, something long and hard that felt like it might even pierce the skin. I opened it up to find obviously fabric fill (crappy) with a bunch of trash mixed in along with an unpleasant stench & a giant stick. Not a good start. ... show more

  • Good for beginner to intermediate users...
Depending on your skill level... This bag is soft for advanced users. Great bag for beginner to intermediate. The skin of the bag is soft enough to punch without wraps. Easy on the knuckles. But strong roundhouse kicks, side-kicks and spinning back kicks just fold this bag in half. Get a good swivel so that the bag can turn and not develop uneven spots. Comes with chains and a big snap-link. UPDATE: After about a week of hitting this bag, some of the stuffing is settling, but actually in a good way. The bag was sort of light and fluffy when I first got it, but as I've hit it, some of the packing at the top is settling down to the middle and bottom and the bag has firmed up in the areas that I strike. So I added 1 star to make it 4. ... show more

The bag itself seems both comfortable to hit (no latex / leather name "patches" sticking out to scrape knuckles on) and it's stuffed reasonably well. It even has a zipper in the top to add some stuffing if need be down the road. It's comfortable for kicking without pads as well (I get it swinging about 30 degrees on a good kick, so it's taking some abuse). My I-beam that I hung it from is 90 inches off the floor, and that's just barely enough space. I don't mind the bag being slightly tilted (letting it drag provides just a little more resistance to it swinging), but just another inch or so would be perfect if you have the space. I chopped it down to two chain links and the carabiner per sie, and that seems to be a decent length. I added Ringside Heavy Duty Bag Spring and Yes4All Heavy Duty Steel Beam Heavy Bag Hanger - ²AVMHZ to finish it out. With this setup, my wife says she can hear me work out, but it's relatively quiet (which is good, because we have an infant napping during some of that). ... show more

  • 72" bag is longer than 72"
Amazon wants over $50 dollars to return this item. The bag is longer than 72" rounded at the bottom and requires length of chain at top as well making it not compatible with an 84" stand. The 72" bag is too long to hang from an 84" stand. Maybe I should have known this but I would just return it. I'm not paying over $50 to return it though. Ergo, I'll just leave the review and call it a day. The quality of the bag also does not seem great to me but I haven't had it that long. ... show more

  • Great Bag, do not give in the first few days of hitting it
This is a great bang for your buck. I will recommend to anyone and I want to give some buyers a quick tip: The first couple of hits will feel harder. I kinda thought I sacrificed a little quality by buying it compared to some of the other name brands im used to at MMA gyms. But after a couple of good sessions, this thing feels less like a trunk and more like a heavy bag. And so far, this thing is going strong. It seems like the build quality is tough. ... show more

  • easy on and off
So far so good in terms of quality. I hung this from my pullup bar. This setup may not work for everyone because this bag is very tall, especially when you include the length of the chain. Im 6'2", so my pullup bar is very high up. I have to jump up to hang on my bar. Even so, the bag is about 2" off the ground So if you are shorter than 5'11", you will probably want to buy a support specially for your bag, and not try to recycle your pullup bar for this setup. So yes, I do have to consistently hook and unhook the bag to the bar each time I want to do pullups, but its actually very easy. The benefit is that the punching bag is very tall. So I really only lift it 4 inches off the ground. I place it on a small brick that I have while I hang it. Then I remove the brick. The bag ends up being 2 inches off the ground. It requires not effort really as long as you can lift the 100lb bag 4 inches up on the brick. Comparing it to regular sized punching bags which are about 2-3 feet off the floor, this one is much easier to hook on/off by yourself. ... show more

  • Tough bag at a steal!
There was a brief clearance sale that brought the price of the FILLED 100lb bag down to $118 SHIPPED!! I couldn't believe it. As a matter of fact, I nearly passed assuming it would be junk for that low of a price. I was wrong. Delivery was fast and came covered in a canvas drawstring bag and then boxed. I was really happy to see it also included everything I needed. It's perfectly packed, dense enough to take heavy kicks and strikes. I'm extremely happy. ... show more
