I ordered this because I liked the ideal of having a unit that I can use on my cell phone. Once it arrived I found that you would need to remove the unit to charge it. I didn't like that ideal. So I checked and found that I could purchase a electrical cord and run it from the outlet to the Ring unit. Perfect. We brought a charm unit which is great it has a loud sound. Now there is a draw back I didn't know if you wanted to have a recorded copy you would need to subscribe to Ring.com and pay a monthly fee. All in all the unit is great. Clear picture even at night.
