I got this as a gift for my 8-year-old daughter and she love, love, loves it! Everything seems to work, maybe not perfectly, but good enough, and the size is just right for a small child, American girl doll, or steampunking out a costume! She and her two middle sisters are still playing with all the instruments, collapsing them and refolding them out in wonder. They are real metal and glass, and definitely smell vintage, lol. These are tiny. I put the on the top of the tree and you still couldn't see them. They are heavy and pretty detailed. I liked them a lot. Only downside is the size.
