The wrenches seem well constructed. I bought these to rebuild a power tilt cylinder on my mercury outboard. The wrench worked well. Dealer wanted 600$ to rebuild. I did it for a fraction of the cost.

    • Solid versatile tool
Got this in preparation of a job that ultimately fell through. So I can’t attest to its usefulness as a tool, but can give some impressions of the actual tool. The item is a well made solid feeling tool. The tool consists of two different size wrenches which may be useful to some but in my case one of the wrenches was of no use. The wrenches have special pins with different sizes on either end. Two sets of pins are included with each wrench. The pins themselves have an indent where the locking set screw fits into that provides a very secure lock. As a bonus, the hex keys need to secure the pins are included in the kit. Also include in the kit are a pair of gloves and a microfiber towel. Not the best stuff but you shouldn’t complain about free stuff. One small caveat, the adjustability of the tool makes it ideal if you have several different sized gland nuts you need to work on and don’t want to spend a ton on multiple tools. However because these are adjustable (moveable) there is the chance that under high torque applications the wrench may slip if not correctly seated especially when resetting to reapply torque. It is also a bit of fiddly when having to reset to make multiple turns. Good tool that not going to break the bank. Just use with care. ... show more

    • great for the price
bought this to remove the nosepiece on a milling machine. i got really nasty with it and it held up fine. well worth the money. I have to rebuild all the cylinders on my tractor soon and it will be much better than the normal pipe wrench situation.

    • Seems fine for occasional use.
They're not otc quality, but not otc price either. I wouldn't put a 4 foot breaker bar on these and expect them to survive, but I've broken other brands doing exactly that too. They worked for what I needed. I don't do heavy equipment work anymore or I'd buy the absolute best I could find.

I am very happy with these! I immediately introduced them to pain and suffering, yet they beg for more! The pins are tough and take a good beating without bruising. The gloves are cheap, however the gesture is commendable. I have to service crusty old cylinders on a regular basis, and these gland nut wrenches really get em' off. 10/10 would buy again.     • Faulty set screw
Set screw on small wrench was not taped right. Screw just fell out. But overall tool worked like it needed to. We just had to watch that pin didn’t fall out.
