I don't have a lot of experience with UV lights but this seems to be good quality. With the tap of the power button you get a variety of light options. The top of the device will light up indicating your choice, but the device itself won't turn on until it detects it is on or just above your skin. When it is on the lights are bright and you can feel the heat from it. Because of the design of the device I was able to get to hard-to-reach areas. I love the shape of this device and that I'm not expected to rub it all over my face. I just turn it on, hold it to the area I'm working on and keep it there until it shuts off. The shape makes it very easy to treat the outer corners of my eyes, nasolabial folds, and my 11ses. It's easy to use, holds a charge for a very long time, and has a built in timer.
