This is simple, but very useful. I use it for both repotting plants as well as filling a bird food container with multiple component foods. It is easy to open and stap the corners, easy to unsnap and dump the spillage, and easy to then fold back up.

I love this mat! It's just the right size for the repotting that I do. I can use it on the kitchen counter and the mess stays in the tray/mat 9unlike when I've used newspaper or a smaller solid tray). I've also used it in my potting shed and appreciate the same stay-in-the-tray feature. I've used solid trays for repotting before, but none were large enough to contain my mess. Also, a solid tray takes up room. I love that this folds up and takes minimal space to store. Another thing I like is the way I can just open one corner and pour out the overflow or used potting material. I got the 27x27 size and it seems to be just the right size for me.
