    • Staying with hemp for our health!
We switched from pine shavings in our chicken coop to strictly hemp. It's made a world of difference! The chickens aren't sneezing and we're able to breathe comfortably in the coop. Plus, we're not getting upper respiratory infections like we had while using pine. This hemp bedding was more affordable compared to other brands we've used this year. We didn’t even need the whole bag for the 6x8 coop! Probably used 3/4 and add an inch every week or two. Definitely keeps the smell away and stays dry. We recommend this product for anyone with chickens!

I use this in my chicken coop/run. I use about 1 of these bags a year, so a little goes a long way. There is no smell from this product or my coop when I use this. I also add this to their nesting boxes and my girls fluff it up real nice so I never have broken eggs.

    • Great for odor control
This product is pricey. However, I use it for two reasons: first, it is superior to any kind of shavings that I have used in controlling odor and flies, and second because it composts beautifully. I do wish that it was less expensive though.

I have purchased this product and other brands as well, but this product is consistently the best value and quality. I am pleased it is still sold on the site and that the cost hasn’t increased more than it has in 3 years since original purchase.     • My chicken coop never smelled better!
After much research, it was time to get rid of the pine shavings in my chicken coop, I decided to give hemp bedding a try in my chicken coop. Let me tell you, it is WAY better than pine shavings. My coop does not smell, and it feels much drier. I would recommend this hemp bedding! They say it does not need to be changed for at least 6 months..... we shall see! So far so good! ... show more
