  • Update: Now very happy (Initially disapointed}
Style: 100Ah Battery
Update: I just completed a14 day dry camping trip (no utilities) where I had to rely on battery power exclusively. I have been doing this for 14 years & use a small Honda generator to charge batteries 3x a day. These batteries outperformed the more expensive batteries I used before. However it is obvious they are meant to be solar backup. They adsorb a charge better, run TV and appliances well but sometimes struggle to start the built-in Onan generator. I also noticed that after sitting in storage for 3 weeks the terminal voltage is 12.8, not the 12.55 - 12.6 of Deep Discharge RV / starting batteries. All-in-all I'm exceptionally pleased. I replaced my 6 yo Duracell AGM's with a pair of these. They claim to deliver 1100 Amps - unrealistically high except for a dead short. After 3 weeks of sitting idle I was pleased that the terminal voltage still was 12.74, a sign of great batteries. Then I started the generator, this pair of batteries barely turned it over, but it started. By the specs, two in parallel should deliver 2200 Amps but barely delivered 110...the max rated starting current for the Onan gen. After the gen started the terminal voltage was only 12.4. ... show more

  • Warranty was honored
Style: 100Ah Battery
I bought two of these batteries for my RV. Both batteries were not working correctly after about six months. When I contacted the company, I was a bit confused by their list of the information which was required to get warranty service. But I kept working with their staff, via their message board on their website, and eventually I collected the documentation they needed (including photos of the serial numbers, photos of a Snap On expensive battery tester at a licensed battery center/showing that the batteries were not working (the battery service center were very reluctant to do the test as they didn't want to be involved with any battery bought on the internet), a description of how the battery was used (see the online pdf for this company's handbook)-including temperatures, etc. Once they felt they had the information they needed, they quickly shipped two replacement batteries. I was relieved and grateful for the company’s help. ... show more

  • Good solar battery
Style: 100Ah Battery
This is a good solar battery. Has charged & held charge well. Kind of heavy but lead-acid works & charges better outside in the cold. We gave it attached to 100 watt solar panel & run a electric fence energizer & a wifi extender off the battery. Works well, charges well, even in cold & wet snow!

  • Good Product, Support Can Be Difficult
Style: 100Ah Battery
I requested a copy of the voltage level and percent charge chart that most AGM battery providers have on hand for products. Being my purchase is going to end up on mountain radio site and existing equipment reports battery voltage and battery temperature. After explaining all of this in my service ticket, the responce I got was that they sell some sort of battery meter to measure capacity. Duh, I can see me driving120-miles every day (if physically accessible) to see what their battery meter shows. Sad, I used to know when Renology had a good service department with knowledgeable people that you could pickup the phone and just ask, rather than spending a whole bunch of time going through ticket process to end up with nothing. Subsequently, I received an email from them that nicely said you have received all of the information. Hmmm? Anyways, just going a little further below the screen I noted that they did reply with the information. I thought I recognized from web, appears to be from Alpine Power Systems. All good! ... show more

  • Fits in my Goal Zero Yeti 1250
Style: 100Ah Battery
I inherited an older model Goal Zero Yeti 1250 Portable Power Station with a dead original battery. Specs on their website said this Renogy would fit. The Renogy was about 30 dollars more than an equivalent battery, but had Prime shipping and the other one didn’t (and a two week lead time to receive). I didn’t want to wait to be into November and the battery arrived on time, well backed in a cardboard box with padded foam. Battery comes with a pack of bolts and washers in the event you need them for your application. If you are upgrading a Yeti, presuming it is similar sized to a Model 1250, then this will fit, but it is tight, I believe due to the rope/plastic handles. (See pic.) It may be a tad wider than the battery that was in it originally, but I took the battery out a while ago. I don’t recall such a tight fit as with the Renogy, but I could be wrong. Regardless, it takes some time to get it set in the unit right and a modest push or two to get it down all the way. Battery came half charged so I suspect it was sitting for a while, but I plugged the Yeti into the wall and it was charged up 100% within a few hours. I’ll use it a bit this weekend and recharge it to see how it handles a mild load, but it seems to be fine battery for the price. ... show more

  • Company has atrocious attitude re: quality & customer support
Style: 100Ah Battery
I purchased this battery and had it installed ($150 cost) as a replacement for my 7 yr old camper van (previous Interstate battery worked fine). After two 4 day trips noticed that battery was discharging much more quickly than expected after being charged on 300 mile runs. After another 3 trips battery would completely discharge when it sat for a week and would not recharge after a long drive (300 mile +). Took the van to a different RV repair facility & they test ( w/ standard batt charge / discharge load equipment) and say it is not holding charge at all. so, batt is a reject, supposed to have 400 recharges & not working after 40, 8 months. I contact Renogy customer service &submit 5 email explanations , getting a run around about how was it tested & how did it fail. I had the repair shop supply info about how tested & equipment used. Renogy sends me a 8 page doc about how they will not do any refund (or partial credit) unless the batt is tested w/ about $15K worth test equipment, ridiculous. so, they will not stand behind their product when they occasionally ship a reject ( see other reviews) & they will waste a ton of your time providing crappy customer service. DON'T BUY. There are much better batteries out there w/ descent service if there is a problem. ... show more
