Purchased this to connect to a Redtiger R7N Dash cam. The rear that came with the dash cam appeared to be designed for outside; therefore, I purchased this one since it allows the camera to rotate around the axis of the shaft it it located on, similar to rotating a barrel. This allowed me to attach to the upper part of a vertical truck rear window and rotate to get the best picture and angle for the rear picture. Picture is clear sharp and works good at night. Connected to the R7N with no problem, and the extra cable (yes, plenty of cable) was easily tucked into the headliner and does not cause any noise problems. Yes, I would purchase again. ... show more

    • Breaks easy, at least it's not too expensive to replace
I had one of these rear cameras that came with the dashcam. I noticed that the cord is weak and is easily pulled too hard, disabling the camera. Eventually the rear camera connection broke and I had to order this as a replacement. The coloring on the rear camera is also off or shows as more blue. At night the quality isn't as good as the front camera. At least it's an easy replacement with this part. I would rate this item as satisfactory. Not the best quality in its class but the most important part is that all functionality continue to work consistently. On my third and the first one has lasted 14 mos. now so cross fingers...
