Camera system works fine (full size Ram pickup w/crew cab), excellent customer support - came with everything needed to install. I had an issue after 2+ years (well out of warrantee) but they walked me through several issues until fixed -very responsive 24 hour replies, polite, easy to communicate with.     • Nice camera at great price point
Bought this unit to give me some back-up camera capability on my recently acquired 2013 Audi TT RS. I liked the wireless operation part and figured to give it a try. After receiving the unit, I was pleased with the design and features and it was obvious that it would work as I had intended. However, I decided in the interest of quality to get the installation done by a pro and found a good shop to do that. They did a super job, getting everything mounted up just as I was planning. All the cables and transceiver components were hidden behind the rear cargo panel. The monitor was mounted low on the left side of the dash using the windshield vacuum mount with the wiring dropped down into a small fuse panel right underneath. In all a super clean install! The unit works great, with the picture coming up in maybe 2 seconds after shifting into reverse (love that feature using the back-up lights to turn the entire system on). Picture quality is OK and a little jumpy, given the wireless operation, but entirely acceptable for what I wanted, just a simple back-up view. I highly recommend this product for anyone wanting similar performance and features. ... show more

    • Backup camera for anyone that has a car without one
We bought this camera a few years ago for my daughter's car (she took over my wife's old 2008 Honda Accord). Support provided us with a video to watch which made installing the camera very easy. It has been working great ever since. The video is very clear, whether it's day or night and it always amazes me how quickly it shows up when I put the car in reverse. It's also very easy to remove the camera from the dashboard when my daughter parks in places where we don't want it visible in the car. And then it's super easy to put it back on the dashboard. I highly recommend it for anyone who drives a car that doesn't come with a backup camera. ... show more

    • Great camera, Impressive customer service
I got this a little over a year ago now. I have a cargo box that mounts to a receiver hitch and it blocks the factory backup camera on my Grand Cherokee. So I got this to install on the cargo box and I can see behind me again. Due to the slightly different location of the cameras it takes a moment to get used to the scale of one vs the other, but it's quite functional. My only complaint is the mount. It's adjustable, and mostly stays, but occasionally I'll need to point it back up a bit and it's easily bumped down. I'm thinking of adding a dab of silicone behind it to help hold it in place but it's not be a real problem. Now, customer service: they surprised me. This company is in China. Everything is nowadays. A couple of months ago I was getting ready for a road trip so I tested my camera to make sure it still works. Again, it's mounted to the box so it only gets used when we use the box. At that time, it worked fine so I moved on with other prep. Come time for the actual trip and no camera. The screen would come on, it had power, but no image on the screen. Tried to re-pair the camera to no avail. This is the weekend before our trip, and literally a few DAYS before the end of the warranty. Now, FINDING the customer service email was interesting, but searching Google for AutoVox I found the company website and a Customer Support form on that website. I knew that I would be away from internet until after the warranty period expired but I tried anyway. They emailed me back, asking about symptoms. They mailed me parts to fix it after I got home, and when that didn't fix it they mailed me a whole new kit. That did fix it. They were friendly, courteous, and there was no communication barrier. Overall, this has been a really good little camera. Any product can have a malfunction. There are so many possible things to go wrong. But the way that they handled the problem, I will not hesitate to buy AutoVox products in the future. ... show more
