The deck on the back of my house was painted last Summer to help preserve it. Unfortunately, it causes the deck--which has no protection from direct sunlight to get unbearably hot on bare feet. Even with shoes on, at midday it can be quite hot! So I wanted a rug that would hold up to the elements well, maintain a tolerable temperature, and not cost a mint. Voila! I've been using it since mid-March and it hasn't been affected by the sun or rain in the very least. The only downside is that where I live in Tennessee, it can be very windy at times and I have to put weights on the rug to keep it from blowing away. But that is only a slight inconvenience and nothing to be concerned about. The rug can be easily cleaned by sweeping or hosing off, and can be folded up. This outdoor rug is very pretty and dries quickly. It’s on my patio and even though it’s plastic, it does not get hot enough to burn my feet. My dogs seem to love it as well and have taken to sunning themselves on it.

Very pleased with the quality and color of this mat. I have older metal outdoor furniture and the chair legs do catch on the weave. Hoping the creases from packaging resolve after a few weeks outside

My area “rug” arrived just a few minutes ago so it’s fresh out of the packaging and hasn’t had time to settle yet (so excuse the areas that don’t look flat). I absolutely love it!
