Wheel is decent quality and will be fun for the grandkids. The mounting lag screw that comes with it it way too large. This wasn't thought through at all. It's large enough for a much heavier item and long enough to go through a 2x4 and then some. If you did use it, you can't even get a socket around it in the wheel cavity to tighten it. I used a smaller Phillips head screw that worked fine. However, you can't tighten the screw completely or the wheel will not turn. Just back it off a little and it will turn okay. It should have a spacer/sleeve to keep the wheel spinning with the screw tight though. I have seen that included in an identical cheaper model on Amazon. ... show more

This steering wheel is perfect for our playground boat whose original wooden wheel had to be replaced. KIds are loving it. We're going to buy a second to put up on a climber. I suggest predrilling the hole for the bolt that holds the wheel in place so you don't split the wood you are mounting to. Wheels seems sturdy but expect the typical degradation over time in the sun. ... show more
