This kit fits well but not perfect. The fender brackets are about 1/16" too short, and with the pressure of the strut, they twist just enough to look misaligned. With everything else being tightly measured and well-built, it is disappointing to see the single most obvious piece in the entire kit be off just enough to be obvious. I would also like to have seen the painted brackets come in color-matched paint or at least more than just black. It would have looked a lot better to have white brackets on my white car. 4 stars. Would be 5 if that fender bracket was better fit and didn't twist. ... show more

I know what you are doing, you are searching through all the different brands and models for hood struts. Look no further. I did not trust the cheaper models that were generic and I was recommended for Redline. I got this installed in 15 minutes with ease. One of the clips did not fit on all the way, so i called customer support and they shipped me a new clip expedited same day! Plus this is a great strut system, pure bolt in so no drilling and it is absolutely perfect. Instructions are easy to follow. Get this one. ... show more

    • Put some spit on the strut attachment points
Good packaging. Could use a little paper or Styrofoam peanuts inside so the product isnt banging around in the cylinder. Install is straightforward and simple. Ran into a problem. One of the metal bands inside the strut joint that pops around the ball actually bent inwards and now i cant get it to come back out and the joint wont clip into place properly. For hoodstruts that are $50 a piece this sucks. Ive contacted redline and am awaiting a response. Will update if they respond. Update 10-25-18 brian from redline emailed me back swiftly, sending me a new end link to replace the damaged one. Gently rock the ends onto the tit and gradually apply pressure unti seated. ... show more
