After consider several different types of these I went with these, very easy to use, mounted to a 1500lb trailer, very stable, I did not use the bolts they gave to me, I replaced them with stainless steel 1 in bolts,nuts and washers 5/16" this way they won't rush in the future!

The media could not be loaded. These are fairly cheap. I think they will do what I want, but they aren't the best quality. They sent them with 'self-tapping screws'. These are not self-tapping. They are more like 3/8", course thread machine screws. I don't know why they would use self-tapping in an application with vibration. I thru-bolted. When in the travel position, the release lever is buried against the rail it is mounted to. Good for holding tight so I don't worry about them falling while in transit, but bad for my powdercoat. Also have to squeeze the lever to fully seat them in the travel position. ... show more

I was looking for a way to support the ramp of my toy hauler as I routinely transport a car in the trailer. I was always concerned about driving the car across the ramp knowing that the ramp is actually hollow inside. I wanted to try to support the ramp at the midway point because of the added weight of the car. I then discovered these supports. I have installed them on the edges of the ramp at the midway point. They work perfect there and take seconds to adjust. Just make sure to install them close to the latches as there is wooden backing there.     • UNSAFE. LEGS COLLAPSED Do Not Buy. All 4 legs retracted with very little load.

The media could not be loaded. The set I received are extremely unsafe. Every one of the legs will collapse (retract) with very little load applied to it. I installed two on the back end of a 4x8 trailer. Purchased some 2" wide x 1/8" metal stock to make a shim. Drilled the holes. Install wasn't too difficult. Extended the legs and then sat on the end of the trailer. Both legs dropped about 4" and slid right back up and I about fell of the end of the trailer. These are very simple devices so it's virtually impossible to install them incorrectly, and there isn't anything to assemble... you just install them. So i got the other 2 stabilizers out and extended the legs and just firmly tapped them on a work table... the legs on both of them slowly slid back up with each tap. There is something seriously wrong with these. I looked at the photos on the product description and they look exactly like what I received. The mechanism that is supposed to hold the leg extended just doesn't do it job. Am returning for a refund.... very unhappy as I spend about $20 on hardware to do the install and drilled holes in my trailer to install two stands. ... show more
