This is a good option but I would not say this is extreme hold for humid climates. Depending on the climate it will give a comparable hold to a moderate edge control gel. The scent is pleasant and not over baring. The hold is moderate for an all day edge control. There is no residue present even after an all day style. It has a good amount of thickness and texture to hold. The jar is pretty small but for just edges it is comparable to others of the same value and price point. Got this for myself and my son as I have super long hair and with that I keep my hair up a lot even when I sleep which causes it to break and leaves me with smaller hairs around my face and neck line which sometimes just drive me nuts. My son has a mix of curly straight hair but he hates that his beautiful curls around his face get in the way. With this stuff we just need a tiny amount to help hold those fee bits out of the way. This Edge Fixer has a strong hold. It's very thick, and it smells good. As you can see in my photos it leaves your hair shiny and sleek. It held my down my forehead hair so strong it almost look like I had stitches. I used my curly hair edge brush to fix it. This will definitely work on all hair types. The jar is not that big. This product is good, but not great. It is thick, but not sticky. It has a pleasant smell and does not create a white residue when applied like some edge cream/gels I've tried. It applies easily and it does hold okay, but it isn't a strong hold that lasts all day (at least not on my hair). I added one morning before hitting the gym. I tend to sweat a lot and by the time I got home, the hold was not as strong. I really like how this edge control gives you that little something extra you need to finish your style. It’s great on relaxed hair, braids and natural looks. Helps to reduce the flyaway unruly edges. The edge fixer is not greasy and can last for hours.
