This is a true black out blind. I bought it to replace an old venetian blind that had some cords broken. I had to make certain that the roller fit in our existing valance. The measurements given by recpro are confusing. I was not entirely certain if the advertised 32" wide blind was the roller or the fabric. It is the roller. I ordered the 32" wide version and found the fabric is 30-7/8" wide (the window is 31" wide including the surround). The bottom of the blind is 31" wide. Note: we mounted the blind to the valance first and then remounted the valance. It took 2 people to manage this install due to the location and limited space.. ... show more
