I was able to assemble myself; the instructions were clear and all parts were labeled which made it easy. The frame is strong metal and the shelves are wood. I love the look and it's just the right size for my small space. The divider drawers are ok but rectangular slots are too flimsy for anything other than socks. I use mine for quilting supplies. This dresser is well made and worth the money! Make sure you look at the dimensions because it is a little smaller than it looks in the pictures. Very sturdy and super easy to put together. Had it built in less than 30 mins. It looks super great all put together. The drawers are fabric, even on the front but they are pretty sturdy for being fabric drawers.
