  • Best Quest 3 strap and interface as of May24'
I was interested in this because I'm familiar with ResMeds products on respiratory machines in my workplace. They have exceptional interfaces to make wearing the machines comfortable. That and Razors rep for exceptional gaming products made me pull the trigger. I am very happy with the setup. This is the 3rd interface and strap combo for the Quest3 I've tried and is so far the best. My first setup was the stock Quest interface with the Meta comfort strap. The interface was kind of hard and abrasive while the strap did not offset the weight of the unit on your face enough. This created pressure points on my face; mainly nose and cheek bones. My second setup was the Desetek strap with a lighter UPOK interface with Faux Leather padding. This setup was better. I really like the Desetek Strap because it offset the weight of the Quest and was more configurable. The downside is that it was still a touch heavy, a bit bulky, and the inface padding allowed some light through. The feeling was like wearing a comfortable light helmet. All in all I liked it, could wear it for hours, and would have been fine if nothing better came along. But something did... The Razor/ResMed combo is perfect for me. The interface is well designed with quality plastic and the padding is the really nice silicone like hypoallergenic stuff ResMed uses for respiratory devices. Soft yet supportive on the skin. Also easily cleanable. The strap itself is similar to Respiratory mask straps and really supports the headset well in combination with the interface. The whole system of strap and interface is lighter, distributed weight better on the face, and keeps light out better than either of my previous setups. It's just great for me. Minor nitpicks: 1) the interface really seals to your face which makes for less air circulation and a bit more warmth compared to my previous interface. It's just a noticable difference for me. I suppose this is the price payed for a good seal and light blocking. 2) the straps hug your head which helps provide good support. I wear a crew cut and sometimes shaved so it slides off my head easy. I could see people with a lot of hair potentially having issues with the straps YMMV. 3) the setup is a little pricey but I feel you get what you pay for in a premium brand with quality materials in this well executed design. It's worth it if it's in your budget. Cheers ... show more

Typical awesome Razer quality that is expensive but feels great, but with one problem. This facial interface makes it unable to fit in some of the charging docks. This isn't a deal breaker, just annoying. You can still charge the controllers but you'll just have to manually plug the headset into a USB-C cable. ... show more

  • Improved comfort and light blocking!
The stock facial interface on the Meta Quest 3 is "adequate", it was designed to be manufactured cheaply and to fit a multitude of facial shapes (and glasses users) without taking too much special care in the comfort department. Furthermore, Meta opted to forgo giving us a stock silicone interface AGAIN. Why. I really have no idea... This interface by Razer mostly solves those shortcomings. The Razer features medical grade silicone that is easy to keep clean and a very forgiving cushioning system that contours to the shape of your face. The light blocking aid for the nose has reduced light leakage by at least 95% compared to the stock interface making games and experiences in VR that much more immersive. The construction of the interface is a glossy molded plastic. One small downside to this design is the lack of a telescoping function that moves the interface further or closer to the lenses for those that use glasses. I believe this was done so the molded-in vent system would function as intended, providing necessary airflow. This was not an issue in my case, but something to consider if you wear glasses. The interface snapped into place very easily (much better than the stock one does), so installation is not an issue at all. Overall, this Razer interface is a good improvement over the stock experience that Meta provides. This interface along with my BoboVR M3 halo strap has made my VR experiences that much more enjoyable and immersive. As is with most Razer products, the price is on the high side, especially when compared to other 3rd party options that are available for much lower cost. If you have the spare cash and spend a lot of time with your headset, I urge you to give it a try though. 4.7/5 ... show more

  • awful
I recently purchased a VR interface that, unfortunately, failed to meet my expectations. First and foremost, the price tag is exorbitant for the quality of the product delivered. Not only is it extremely uncomfortable to wear, but the interface itself also has a very irritating texture that feels unpleasant against the skin. These issues significantly detract from the immersive experience one expects from a modern VR system. Overall, I found this purchase to be a waste of money and would advise potential buyers to steer clear of this product. There are better options available that offer more value and comfort. ... show more
