  • Are you lazy? Let Raindrip water your plants for you!
Style: Irrigation Drip Kit
I bought this drip system for the veggie garden growing in my front yard. I'm in Texas, so in the summer, I'd normally be out there with the hose three times a day just so my plants wouldn't die. It was tiring and I was getting sick of it. Then I found the Raindrip irrigation system for containers. My husband and I put it together, and guess what? None of my plants have died this summer! For that alone, this is worth the money. Your plants stay healthy, and you don't have to lift a finger. It's amazing. Most of my plants are tomatoes, peppers, herbs, etc. In prior years, they were really small and didn't produce much fruit - because I didn't water enough, most likely. Now, thanks to this system, the plants are taller than I am (probably 9 -10 ft tall in containers!) and have lots of blossoms, ready to produce fruit. Last year, the plants were small, sickly, and didn't give me much. The difference is obvious, and I'm so glad I gave this a chance. If you live in the south, you can never give your veggies enough water in the summer months. This system is easy to set up, but it does have a few problems. You must cut the tubing to your desired length and then attach the watering nozzles (red and black parts) to the tubes. This actually requires a lot of pressure and hand strength. It took my husband and I a whole evening to connect the drippers to the tubing, and we didn't have many - it was just that the tubing didn't fit really snugly with the other parts. Annoying, but when you get it right, it does work fine. I like this product because you can expand it as you like. I just recently ordered more tubing and parts because my garden got bigger over the summer. It was inexpensive and you can buy all you need on Amazon. One thing that worries me - if you change your garden layout, you will need to change your sprinkler layout too - possibly you'll need to cut new tubes, etc. So one year's layout might not work for the next. I can see this getting annoying real quick. Not the product's fault though. But for people like me who want an all-in-one solution for their garden, this works great! Once you have it set up, you're done. I haven't lifted the hose all summer, and to me, that is worth it! ... show more

  • Works well and easy to install, some emitters have issues
Style: Irrigation Drip Kit
Was easy to put in and setup, but I have had to throw out a few of the emitters because they just spew water. Think I may have had one that didn’t emit anything. Luckily I only needed 6 so there are plenty to swap out

  • Great Drip Irrigation Kit - Very Professional
Style: Irrigation Drip Kit
Our container tomato plants seem to be very thirsty and knowing we would be going away for a few days, I needed to figure out how to keep them hydrated. I originally ordered a set that drew off a container filled with water, but when it arrived, just the packaging made me decide to return it (plain cardboard box). So, I decided on the RainDrip kit. Once it arrived, I was sold on the product even before installing it because of how professionally it was packaged. Plus, they have their own website. They have videos on installing and tips on using. The instruction manual was professionally done and was written in perfect English. Now, it was a warm sunny day when I installed it and by setting the tubing in the sun, it made it easy (with some effort) to get the elbows, tees and drips inserted into the tubing. I accidently inserted a wrong one into the tubing and when I tried to remove it, no way. At least it gave me confidence that these fittings would not leak or come apart. I found it very easy to install. Once I finished, I ran for a short time in manual mode with one of the drips going into a bucket to test output. As stated in the instructions, each drip dose provide 1/2 gallon per hour. Because my containers are large, I opted to place two drips in each one. Also, this kit comes with an Analog controller so there is no programming involved and it is as simple as changing the dials to select the frequency and length of each watering cycle. Absolutely would recommend this system. Even though I purchased for the times we were away, I will just let it run while home and make any necessary adjustments to maintain the correct amount of moisture in my tomato containers. ... show more

  • Meh
Style: Irrigation Drip Kit
Got this system for the various beds and pots I have outside. Had high hopes. I found it difficult to install for a few reasons and the drips to be inconsistent with a few that seem to just stop working (are the getting blocked? Don’t know). For the install: if you’ve never set one up before (like me), you may be a bit flummoxed. The instruction video is just a marketing video. No instructions. So I searched the web and found a review that explained it. Felt like an idiot that I couldn’t figure this out for a few min then thought, no, it is not really intuitive that I needed to cut little sections of tubing to attach to the connectors then attach to the drips. It really wouldn’t have taken much to include that in their materials. Whatever, bygones. Next problem: the plastic tubing is difficult to maneuver. It is hard, inflexible and wanted to stay coiled, so unraveling and placing it where I wanted was clumsy. Getting the little connectors inserted was a form of torture like bamboo under fingernails. I read somewhere that you can leave the tubing out in the sun to soften or use a hairdryer. I mean, really? A hairdryer? I’m trying to setup a watering system and I’m told to wander around the patio with a blooming hairdryer??!! In the end, I got it all setup over the course of a few days but the watering is so light that I need to leave it on for hours every day. Think at least 5 hours. I realize it’s a drip vs a spray and realize as well that it’s not like it’s dripping gallons out of each nozzle (especially as there are a few that just stubbornly refuse to drip) but still… it’s just a lot more effort than I thought an automatic system would entail. Would not recommend. ... show more
