  • It’s fine
Hard to actually qualitatively rate this as right after buying, we’ve been a bit of a dry spell with minimal rainfall. But it did record something. A little on the expensive side for what it does. Can’t say how accurate it is out of the box without having some sort of measurable rainfall to compare to. ... show more

  • Must-have bracket for the rain sensor
Great bracket for the rain sensor. A must. I put the wind sensor on a railing and used heavy duty double-sided tape to hold it in place. I don't have a post to mount that on, and the wind sensor should be unobstructed. Rain sensor: NETATMO Rain Gauge for Netatmo Weather Station - Retail Packaging - Black ... show more

  • Too expensive and barely OK as a post mount
I bought this because I needed a mount for my rain gauge that strapped to a post. There are comparable camera mounts designed to be mounted on a horizontal surface, and they cost at least $15 less. This one is in fact a camera mount designed for a horizontal surface that has been configured to fit into a post bracket, which you then secure to a post using two large hose clamps (which takes a lot of turns with a screwdriver). It is reasonably well conceived, but the design definitely falls well short of what I would have expected at its price point. Once secured to my square post, the mount wobbled back and forth (for side to side, a thumb wheel allows you to firmly tighten the mount in that direction). In other words, you can only level the mount in the side to side direction. For the back and forth direction I had to use shims and a wedge to eliminate the wobble so my rain gauge was on a level. As another reviewer noted, this mount is only worth buying if you need to mount your rain gauge to a post. You will do at least as well, and for a lot less money if you buy a camera mount designed for attaching to a horizontal surface. ... show more

I have tried a few different mounts for my Netatmo stations, and have had some issues with re-leveling. So far this new mount seems to be doing the job and holding the rain gauge and wind gauge perfectly (I have 2).

  • The adjustment to align is poor.
The ability to clamp it to a pole of various sizes is great. However, the end that you mount the wind, rain, or camera is worthless. It will not clamp down tight enough to hold it in position. That part is poorly made. I have two both are the same.

  • Expensive and seemingly cheaply made in my opinion
I thought that I would give it a try. Turned out to be a mistake. The turn mechanism to tighten down on the universal ball joint to "lock" the screw seat into the position that you want would not turn by hand. I had to resort to using some WD40 in combination with physically turning the mechanism with pliers. This should not be needed if it was well crafted. This resulted in some scratch marks on the paint (I believe it is cast aluminum with black paint, but could be wrong). Then there is the fact that it is expensive. It is easily 3 times the cost of a typical, cheap "security" camera mount that will do the same job. And many of those "cheap" mounts seem better made. The only reason I gave it two stars rather than one star was because of the strap connection adapter that allows you to mount it to a pole. The mount is actually two pieces: 1) the main mount that has a flat base with three screw holes for screwing to a flat surface (this flat base is hidden in square base you see in the picture); and 2) the square curved pole attachment base with two metal straps. In my case, I will likely just be mounting to a flat surface, so the pole adapter is likely wasted for me. If you want to attach it to a pole, then it might be worth it for you. ... show more

  • What a piece of junk!
These mounts are significantly overpriced for the quality provided. I’m a NASA engineer with decent handyman skills, and the screw-fed security straps are a linked up mess before I’ve even un-fastened them. These are far below the fit and finish of the rest of the gear. They shouldn’t be shipped fastened, or if so, at least not the 2-3” that they are. The screw heads can easily be stripped, and even using the outer hex cut on the body still leaves these flimsy straps a crooked mess. This is my second mount, and the first one wasn’t this bad! ... show more

  • Can be used as a flagpole platform for Arlo Pro 2 cameras
The part has a rubber back and 2 stainless clamps that attach to Arlo Pro mounting hardware. Attach it to your flagpole for arieral views.
