I have bought 2 of these. The first one I used to mount my icom 2730A in the car. I just ordered another one to use with my Yaesu 500D. It is a nice stiff bracket than can be bent with some basic tools if you need to change the angle, but it won't bend with normal use. The Yaesu uses the center slot to mount the head unit, so I cut off one side to make disconnecting the control cable possible. If I had not trimmed it, the cable connector would be trapped behind the bracket and I'd have to unscrew it to disconnect the cable. This mount is perfect for my application. The icom 2730a face I wanted in my dash but not in an ordinary spot. The mount fit perfectly between my vents. Easy to see while driving and still don't have to take my eyes off the road.

Very sturdy, thick metal with some rough edges. Which is great if that's what you want. I need a stand like the one that comes with the radio, which is easily bendable. This one is not so I'll have to return it.
