This was easy to use and easy to cut to my window size. Only trouble I had was smoothing all the bubbles as the one side has a rough surface and the squeegee kept getting stuck. Looks nice and now we have some privacy.

If you want to have some privacy, but are too cheap for blinds these are great. I love that I can put them in my window and have natural light without my neighbors peeking into my house. They are easy to install and look really nice in the window. They also won’t leave any residue on your windows since it is just water. They hold up really well. I’ve had one of the films on for almost a year and there is no sign of it falling down and bubbling. My only complaint is the if your windows are not the exact length of the film then you have to piece 2 together and I haven’t been able to match up the design so you can see the line where the two pieces meet no matter how hard you try it seems. Love them though and would definitely buy them again. ... show more

Bought this on a whim to cover up two windows in my kitchen that I'd wanted to get blinds for but figured they were too small for the trouble. Super impressed with the end result and how inexpensive and simple this was to do, especially compared to blinds. Love the design and how it'll let in light for my row of plants. I followed a few videos and tips I'd recommend for the install: you'll need a spray bottle, squeegee, exacto knife, and ruler. Pro tip: empty the contents of one of your spray bottles (I used Windex) into another bottle, rinse, and return when finished. For the spray water solution, use 1 qt water mixed with 1 tsp baby shampoo (best) or a clear cleaning solution so there's no visible soap residue when it dries. Also worth mentioning, the side you peel the backing off of is the side you apply to the window. When applying, align to the top right or top left edge and use a ruler and exacto knife to trim the opposite edges at the frame (leave about +1 inch on your measurements if pre-cutting). I got right to the project of applying my window cling this morning. 15 minute job and I love the result! It is so pretty! It doesn’t alter the light much, which is a plus! One thing I wanted to know before I ordered this was if I could somewhat see through the window after the cling was applied. The answer is yes, enough to tell if a dog was walking through the yard, etc. but I wouldn’t be able to identify a bird species (for example). ... show more

    • Has flaws but for the price, it is good.
I read reviews about this and how it falls off. Lets be clear, this will not fall off unless you apply it wrong. Research how to apply this and take your time. spend the time to figure out how to take the backing off and be liberal with the water spray to help glide the film into place. I bought this for a nursery, My aluminum blinds are still up, but they are wide open and you can't see in. I did not want to have to open and close my blinds for privacy and light. So now, blinds are open and half way pulled up, light comes in and we have privacy still. One roll did one bedroom window. This requires some time and patience and you can't just quickly throw this on in 15 mins. I used a large squeegee, a credit card edge for smaller areas, water in a spay bottle, multiple passes of rubbing it into place and lots of pressure back and forth working out the large air bubbles. You will never get them all out, especially since the design has a face up texture. Which means the side you apply pressure to with a squeegee or credit card is slightly rough. Pros: cheap, great for privacy, lets in diffused light, I can see how I can peel these off when I move, requires medium skill level to apply. Good for the value. Cons: you will always have little air bubbles trapped. However, the only time the air bubble are visible is at night when no light is coming through the window and the bedroom light is on. This reveals all the air pockets or air bubbles. But in the day, the sunlight coming though hides all the air bubbles. For the price, I will live with it. If you are super picky, spend more money and pay someone to do it with real professional quality film. If "pretty good" fits your budget, this is perfect. ... show more
