Great looking unit. I needed something like this to cool a small 8x8 room. Had a electrician run new wires for this stand along unit, cut all the holes needed. I let the unit set up right for a week before turning it on and guess what, nothing but room temperature air. Since it can not be returned because it has Freon in it, I'm stuck with a $200.00 fan. DON'T BUY THIS JUNK. Go to Lowes or Home Depot . The funny thing about the whole thing is, the ac unit was shipped to me but CAN NOT BE SHIPPED BACK. This unit is like a box of chocolate, you never know what is in the box until you open it. July 31,2023 update on the new unit. After contacting the company R.W. Flame, they sent a new ac unit that work as advertised. the ac unit was delivered by FEDEX. I assume the first unit was rough handled during shipping because I could hear something moving around in it and the new ac unit does not make the same sound. The reason I give the ac unit a 4 star instead of a 5 star is what do I do whit the one I can't return? ... show more

R.W.FLAME - first time user, lifetime Nuttin' but Love! After I hit the "BUY" button in amazon, they realistically predicted 7-10 days for delivery. These guys (item was from San Bernadino, CA) printed the label same day, they shipped it to FedEx next day, and we got it in two days!! The local four day forecast was for 106 and 112 degrees (moving unfortunately is not an option). NOW the 90 degree "supercave" in the upstairs bedroom where we live, is now the "Ice house" and happy wife, happy life. I'm crazy about R.W.FLAME and your dedications to US... the customer. Disappointed with this item overall. We own 4 portable AC units and this is the only one that will not exhaust the condensation out with the window hose. Unit must be hooked up to a catch container for the condensation generated. Accumulates approx 1 gallon per 8 hour period. All the others exhaust all condensation and do not require a catch container which must be disposed of daily. ... show more

Thing cooled my apartment well but if I knew I would be dumping a bucket every 2 hours I would never have purchased. This is for a non humid climate. I recommend a self evaporating unit if you live in Florida. Wish I knew that when I bought this

I ordered two of these units. One for me and one for my son. They were easy to install and did a great job cooling his studio apartment and my bedroom. When my son’s unit had an issue I was put in touch with the seller. They were quick to offer a replacement at no cost to me.
