So it works decently well. I like the design/look of it as it’s pretty small & sleek while the numbers are still large & easily readable. I also love there’s no additional wires or anything however it’s not fully accurate as it takes into partial account of the room air temperature. My acrylic 5 gallon tank water stays a pretty constant 79° thanks to my lil heater & during the day this thermometer usually reads 80° so +1 degree off no big deal. But I keep my house at 67 overnight so in the morning this reads mid 70s. I’ve checked with a probe thermometer & that is indeed wrong the temp is still at 79°. Now that I know this it doesn’t really bug me at all I simply use this thermometer to ensure my heater is still working daily but if you need super specific water temperatures for a finicky fish then you might want to look elsewhere. For my needs though this works just fine & is a good bang for your buck I actually ordered a second one for another tank I just got was well! ** note: my tanks are acrylic so you may not run into the same temperature issues with a glass tank ... show more

I love the concept of a digital thermometer. Im not sure if its fully accurate. I have to test it. But my tank is set to 79. Cant give higher stars till i test it.

We recently bought a new fish tank and it came with a regular water thermometer. The one we had went inside the water and stayed with a magnet. I really wanted a digital thermometer, as it's just way easier to read. This one is super nice, sleek in appearance, not too big, and works perfectly. Both thermometers read the same temperature, so this is an accurate thermometer! You simply peel off the adhesive backing (which I'll admit is super strong), and stick to the outside of the tank. It did take about 15 minutes to read the correct temperature, but now that it's remained on our fish tank, it reads in a press of a button. Speaking of button, you simply press the "on" button and the digital temperature appears. A few seconds later, it will turn off automatically. Super easy to read, install and has been great for quick temperature readings for our tank! ... show more

After getting a product, I actually put it to use. Typically, I try something for a week or more, before writing a review. Also, before I write a review, I try to reread other users reviews and address any discrepancies I find between their reviews and my own observations. On to the Review... Review of: QZQ Fish Tank Thermometer Aquarium Thermometer Wireless Touch Stick Digital Aquarium Thermometer LED Display ±1°F for Monitoring The Fish Tank Aquarium Temperature Accessories (Black) Visit the QZQ Store List Price: $12.89 This comes nicely boxed, with instructions and a button battery already installed. I really like the size, clarity of the numbers and ease of mounting. I cleaned off and dried the glass surface area where I planned on sticking this to. A very easy peel and stick process and after letting it sit a few minutes, I tried to wiggle it and it felt well stuck on. With one touch, the large digital temp. pops on, it is easy to read and it stays on for just a few seconds. 2 things I wanted to cover, based on my observations and other reviews: Accuracy: I let this thermometer sit on my desk for several hours, with the sensor (on back) exposed to the air. I also placed 2 other portable thermometers next to it. All 3 thermometers were very close (within a half degree) of each other. So accuracy of the thermometer isn't a concern to me, it appears to be very accurate. What I want to note is that applying it to a piece of glass and expecting an exact temp of the water on the other side of the glass, isn't going to happen. Basically, the thermometer is reading the surface temp of the glass, not the actual temp. of the water. In my case, after several probes into the water with another thermometer, I determined that there is about a 2 degree difference between what this therm. reads and the actual temp. of the water. So anyone using this, should do the same thing that I did and determine your difference. Battery and Mounting: The fact that you can't access the battery without uninstalling the thermometer from the glass presents a future problem. That problem is, how to resecure it once a new battery is installed? I doubt the original adhesion strip will still be usable. So if it isn't, a user will need to find a similar mounting tape. All in all, I like this thermometer, so I would recommend it, if it fits your needs. Just be aware of the 2 limitations I mentioned. ... show more

The (QZQ Fish Tank Thermometer,) Is an aesthetically pleasing easy to use Thermometer. Clear LED numbers in bright green make checking the temperature of your fish tank a breeze day or night. The back side has a peel off 3M style adhesive tape making mounting simple. The battery is a 2032 and has a cover you can remove with a coin or flat head screwdriver. The easiest thing to use. I tried it on my turtle tank and my fish tank to make sure it was accurate, and it was. So easy to install. Take out the box, pull off the adhesion thing, and stick to the outside of the tank. I have mine at the very bottom and the temp is always accurate. It does go to "sleep", so to check the temp again, just press the power button and it pops right up. ... show more
