  • Built Right
Can’t find a complaint, all over great build and quality in every little detail. Powerful and even low light cloud cover it pulls a good breeze on solar alone. Very quiet too. I always take apart all things with electric motors wjen brand new and I was so impressed with the motors build it’s akin to old 1950, German build quality and solid with excellent precision roller bearings that I oiled with my custom oil I mix with pencil graphite that makes motors run for generations to come without fail of bushings or bearings. Growing up I saw that companies began to give us things with electric motors without oiling them when Built for planed obsolescence to make things not last much more than it’s warranty limits and this the way it’s built can run a lifetime but with my oil o know it will run as long as it’s not burnt in a fire lol. I’ve not been this impressed with anything made these days until I came across this little green gem. I’m trying to come up with all kinds of ideas to get more of these and use them for travel and outdoor things and even porch fans that time all the time when it’s hot and not worry about it running when I’m not out there with it wasting electricity. I siliconed everything like the solar panel to keep it clean from dust and pollens for years to come to stay perfectly clean whenever it rains and the outside cable wire also to protect it more from the sun and weather deterioration to get more life out of it also. The wire casing material Ms are awesome also to last as long as possible too. I appreciate this company and the care to details and quality they put into this great fan and hope the rest of the world’s manufacturers learn to be the same so people praise them for their products such as this I do here. Like it used to be in our world long ago when there was good pride in all things and they were built to hand down and not just to make the garbage dumps so overloaded with trash. Thanks Quiet Cool and team… ... show more

  • Nifty
I wish I bought this in the first place. It works pretty good considering the power draw. Mind you it runs on solar nearly all the time. The install was easy only took maybe an hour. Majority of the time was spent in the attic. I wish that it would have come with the corrugate plastic to isolate the air flow, like their other fan that I purchased. It's fairly light weight. It's lasted me the whole summer so far with no issues. For this price it'll basically pay for itself with all the power you are saving. ... show more

  • Great Attic Fan in Florida!
I installed this in a house in Cocoa FL. The day we put it in it was 140* in the attic. The outside air was 100 with the heat index at 106. I have installed 3 of these fans for customers of mine. They all say that it has allowed them to up there AC temp at least 3 degrees. In Florida that’s BIG! That saves a lot of energy and money. The fan is quiet! I’ve had it running 3 months in my house. It’s made a big difference in the comfort of the house. ... show more

  • Usage data don’t lie, this is awesome
The fan is relatively quiet, I can’t hear it from inside the house, on the outside, I have to be right under the fan to hear it, suck heat out of my attic effectively and I see the drastic change in our electrical consumption comparing September usage (and it was actually installed Sept 11) to 2 years past, we went from reaching tier 3 down to tier 2, we had 2 guest for a week adding to the Sept usage right before the install, so it most probably is supposed to be even lower, Very satisfied Solar Panel installation was a bit of a challenge as our roof pitch is very steep, So I installed it on side of house instead, so not fully maximizing solar power efficiency, I guess better than me falling off the roof ... show more

  • Excellent fan Super Quiet Easy install
Thia is the second one I purchased. Bought this one for my son. Runs on solar all day, then kicks over to low voltage a/c. I even had to go outside to see if it was running. WOW It runs long enough after dark to make sure humidity was less in attic.

  • Does Not Cool Attic & Zero Support
I've had this fan installed for a few weeks, but I've had a temperature sensor in my attic for months to monitor the typical temperatures up there. After installing the fan & the advised amount of intake venting, the attic remains up to 50 degrees hotter than the outside temperature. The temperature have not improved at all. In my case, I'm using 3 square foot of intake venting which is right in the middle of what Quiet Cool recommends. Everything else is installed exactly as their instructions advise as well. I've verified that the fan is running all day long. I've verified there are no obstructions causing inefficient air flow. I've tried unplugging the solar panel and just running the fan on AC power. I've tried removing the grille on the font of my exhaust vent. The list goes on an on. The attached picture shows the attic temperature & outside temperature data for 3 fairly cool and cloudy days in early August (2023) in Colorado. On hotter/sunnier days the attic has gotten up to 157 degrees while only being 93 degrees outside and the fan will be running all day long. I contacted Quiet Cool support shortly after installing the fan and realizing that it wasn't working to cool the attic. They did respond and have asked a lot of different questions about my configuration, but have not provided any recommendations as to what needs to change for this fan to work. Communicating with them has been particularly frustrating because they will ask a question and then just not respond for multiple dats. My last communication to them was essentially begging them for some recommendation to get this fan working and that has gone unanswered for nearly a week. Maybe there's something about my install that isn't allowing the fan to work properly or maybe the fan just doesn't do what it's advertised to do. If Quiet Cool support was interested in providing some guidance, I would say that the former might be true, but as of right now I think its the latter. ... show more
