  • Quality Product & Construction.
This Solar Powered Attic Fan Does The Job Well , It was easy to install too. It’s very quiet and moves the heat out well . Great value too not having to rip up the roof ,Nor expensive electrical work needed . Will buy again for my Garage Project next ⚒️

  • Quietest Fan
The fan was only installed two days ago, but it started working immediately and within a day the attic was already cooler.

  • Happy so far
Fan is quiet enough. If you're on the roof or in the attic, you'll hear its hum but it's nothing overwhelming. Inside the house one can not hear it. It can run on solar power alone. Depending on the sun's intensity, the motor can run at full speed or slower. The included 20V AC backup power ensures that the fan runs even on cloudy days. The built-in thermostat ensures the fan turns on at around 80 degrees F. There is no way to adjust the thermostat nor force the fan on or off. There is a bug / finger protection screen that faces the inside. The openings will keep out larger bugs and rodents but not flies, termites etc. Installation was easier than I expected. Check out the various online videos. I'm an experienced DIYer and have done reroofing repairs. You'll have to determine if it's something that you can handle yourself or have it installed. ... show more

  • Works well but not what they claim
Fan works well, not powerful enough to keep up with rising temperatures past 85 ambient outside. It does cool down the attic, but it takes longer than advertised. I would suggest buying the non solar model with the highest cfm. See attached picture.

  • Makes a big difference in interior house temperature
Was pretty easy to install, despite QuietCool's video and written instructions being pretty meager. There's a few freelance installation videos on youtube, all with different details. Fan is very, very quiet. I can't hear it in the room beneath it, and actually thought it wasn't running until I climbed on the roof and checked. I noticed the difference in the interior temperature immediately. This house holds heat in the attic and then the entire house heats up and stays hot all night. Additionally, the AC ducting runs through the attic, and when the attic is up over 120 degrees, it takes more to keep that AC air cool in the ducts. I haven't had to run the AC since installing this fan. The house temp is about 9-10 degrees cooler with this fan in service. I do plan to run the included AC adapter to a plug and then to a switch down to the hallway so that I can run the fan when I want. Overall I'm really pleased with this solar powered attic fan. It's gonna lower my electric bill for sure. ... show more

  • Fan Leaks. Very Bad Customer service
Purchased fan and had it installed by a reputable roofer. The first rain the fan leaked and ruined my sheet rock. Had the roofing company come back out. The fan was installed correctly so they added some more silicone. The fan still leaked. Ended up replacing the fan with another brand and have not had any leaks. I contacted Quite Cool company and explained what happened with the leaking fan. They have continued to give me the run around and have not returned any of my phone calls. Customer service is terrible. They will not stand by their products. The fan was still under warranty, but they did not provide a replacement fan. ... show more

  • Runs with Solar or 117 VAC
Works Great! Much, much better than my old one. It keeps the garage temperature the same as the outside temperature by sucking the hot air out from the garage attic and bringing in fresh air through vents located low in my garage. The unit starts when the temperature gets above 88 degrees in the top of my garage and runs until the temperature gets down to 78 degrees at night and then shuts off. Recently, in July 2022, it has been turning on at about 10 AM and off at about Midnight. Relatively quiet, too, moving about 790 cubic feet of air per minute. ... show more

  • Thermostat controlled to turn on at 75F
My HVAC pros put two in my main house when we put the air handler in the attic. I wanted to cool my garage gym and another room, and added the same model. The installation was relatively easy, as I have a composite shingle roof and new wiring.
